Outstanding highlight tours in Cambodia

This was one of the stand out highlights of our tour and it did not disappoint!!! Our guide was incredibly nice, excellent English, very knowledgeable and knows all the best photo locations and how to get the best perspective. We never felt rushed. He gave us great advice about where to eat and was always polite. In fact all the guides provided for us by About Cambodia Travel & Tours were superb. The company itself deserves a mention because after some initial trepidation of booking with a foreign operator they were enormously professional. Sammy deserves a very special mention, he was always attentive to my emails, concerns and answered question so promptly. With the limited time we had he put a great itinerary together and we enjoyed everything. I have no hesitation booking tours with About Cambodia Travel & Tours.

Amazing tour of Angkor Wat and other Siem Reap temples.

Leap gave us the best tour of Siem Reap and all of its amazing temples. We were picked up in a very nice car and were even given bottles of water and cold towels throughout the day to keep us cool. Leap was very knowledgeable about the history of the temples and told great stories about what we saw. We would highly recommend anyone visiting Siem Reap to book this tour and recommend the morning sunrise tour of Angkor Wat. Leap took us to a great viewing point for the sunrise that we would not have found on our own. He also knew all of the best places to take photos and is a great photographer! We can’t recommend this tour enough!

Sara is an amazing guide! - Honeymoon in Cambodia

We had the pleasure of having Sara as our guide. He explained us everything about Siem Riep, the temples, the history and Buddhism. He is a great guide and organised everything very well. We visited amazing temples, he brought us up a mountain to see the sunset, on a boat trip to Tonle Sap lake and local villages. We visited many different temples each day of our visit and we definitely recommend Sara as a guide in Cambodia. We couldn't have been happier than having him as a guide, he also gave us many advises on local culture. He was also so kind to take hundreds of photos of us 😁

An emotional rollercoaster of a day!

The tour was fantastic!
The tour guide was very knowledgeable, punctual and patient. He supplied us with an endless cooler with ice chilled water and was always giving us the heads up with keeping our personal belongings safe!

We started the day on a light note with seeing some of Cambodia’s beautiful statues and shrines which were all a sight to not miss. The S-21 prison was very eye opening and the killing fields
Just as mich to say the absolute least. Be prepared for your emotions to be up and down this whole tour but i truly believe everyone should do this tour if not for the 10/10 knowledge the tour guide will give you on the Cambodian history, to share compassion for the situation this beautiful country faced decades ago but also the good value of the tour as you do so much and it should be priced more. Only thing I’ll put forward is food is not included but cool water all throughout the trip was provided.

I can’t recommend this trip enough and if you choose to go please take short sleeves, shorts to your knees, masks, a hat and a cup of coffee because there’s a lot of information to soak in but it’ll be an experience you’ll take to your grave

Learning About Cambodia

Why would you join a bus tour or travel solo when you could have a personal driver and registered tour guide for so little money. Our guide Leap was extremely knowledgeable and spoke perfect English. He explained the historical meaning of temples in a modern Cambodian Context.

Driver La & Sing were professionals in the sometimes chaotic driving conditions. Our vehicle was a comfortable Mazda sedan with less than 50k kilometres travelled.

Thoroughly recommend this tour .

Great, affordable way to visit Cambodia with a private guide.

This was a great private tour for my husband and me. When we booked it, we had no idea what to expect. We were very pleased with the personal tour that was very affordable. We booked the six day/ five night tour that included airport pick-up in Siem Reap, two full days of private guided tours in Siem Reap, one day of supported, private car travel from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh (including curious stops along the way), one full day of private guided tours in Phnom Penh, and a private driver to the Phnom Penh airport. Our guide in Siem Reap was Mr. Sara and he was great. He gave us tons of information and took photos of us, and even lent us a charging cord when our iPhones ran out of juice. Our guide in Phnom Penh was Thom and he was great. His English is excellent and he even makes funny commentary. Both hotels were good, though the WiFi at the hotels is spotty. The only downside was the restaurants where they took us for lunch. Mostly not great (especially because we are vegetarian), with the restaurant on the road to Phnom Penh being particularly bad. That said, Thom took us to a great place in Phnom Penh. Overall, we highly recommend this tour company.

Very good tours in Cambodia

Our trip through Cambodia was amazing. It opened our eyes to past and present history including the Khmer Rouge 1975-9. The Angkor Wat Temples were amazing and our fantastic guide made this tour safe, organized, and enlightening. Thanks to our Guide Borith. We were having too much fun to care anyway. The trip was well organized and covered all the essentials. The temples are all so different, and stunning; and it was great to have the carvings explained and to hear about the stories represented.

Overall good trip but expensive for what is included

This is a good way to see the main sites. Although harrowing it is a must to visit S21 and the killing fields and to learn the story. You also see a number of other sites which are interesting such as royal palace and the central market. Our tour listed 2 additional visits on our itinerary which were not included. All of that said this is overall am expensive way to do this trip and whilst our driver and guide were good our recommendation would be to take a driver and visit these sites yourself. The additional cost for this trip didn’t seem worth it. We are pleased in any case to have made our trip.

Transfer Siem Reap - Phnom Penh

I had to book in urgence a transfer between the 2 cities. The agency has been super responsive and within one hour one of their chauffeur was picking me up. The drive was very smooth, and was able to be in Phnom Penh on time. On top of that, the driver was very friendly.

Tokk is an exceptional guide. Very polite and obliging, goes out of his way to provide the best tourist experience. His knowledge of Cambodia's history is very good and constantly shared stories about Cambodia. Also took a lot of good photos for me.
