So this is a hard review to write. First I want to say that the service of the team and staff themselves was excellent - I only have positive reviews on this aspect. The lunch provided was buffet-style and I was surprised that it was such good quality, so you shouldn't be disappointed by this. Our itinerary involved a 3 -hour boat cruise and a 3-hour safari drive. In reality, I think that the boat cruise is about 2 hours too long. Maybe I am being unfair but our party became quite bored later this - the last 2 hours didn't contain anything new or exciting. The 3-hour safari in the park is far too short to do anything worthwhile (Chobe is HUGE). My recommendation to travellers is to find a package that skips the cruise and do the Park all day (you'll see hippos at least in the park). It might be a personal opinion (shared by our party) - but thats our recommendation. If you insist on doing the boat - use sunscreen (and lots of it!!)

We had an excellent morning river safari and afternoon game drive with Chobezi (organised through Shearwater Tours). The highlight was the vast number of elephant that we saw. David on our game drive was particularly engaging.

We loved Chobe. We did a game drive in the morning and a boat safari in the afternoon with lunch on a floating river restaurant in between. Afternoon for the boat tour is best since it’s hot and most of the animals come to the water to cool off. We saw hundreds of elephants, six lions, over 50 hippos, a few giraffes, crocs, buffalo and hundreds of antelope (five different kinds). Our resort booked us with Flame of Africa. My husband and I were the only people on the game drive and there was just one other couple on the boat. We were thrilled we ended up with a wonderful company that did not pack people in. Plus, lunch was very good with many vegetarian options. The border crossing from Zambia to Botswana is quite interesting! The guides are very helpful through the craziness, customs and short ferry (bridge is being built).

Took a day trip with my son arranged by Shockwave Adventures. We were picked up and dropped off at our lodge in a van for the 1 hr drive to Botswana border. The Kaza Uni Visa for multi border crossings between Zambia and Zimbabwe also permits a day trip to/from Botswana. The morning boat trip gave us the opportunity to view Cape Buffalo on the island between two fork in the river, and crocs, hippos and scavenger birds. We enjoyed a tasty, hot meal at a location on the way to our afternoon game drive. We saw a large family of elephants and a couple of sleeping male lions up-close as well as a variety of antelope. Very enjoyable day!

From Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, we went on a fabulous day trip to Kasane, Botswana, and an exploration of Chobe National Park. We started that exploration with a cruise on the Chobe River that departed from the lovely Chobe Marina Lodge. In addition to beautiful scenery, the Chobe River has an abundance of wildlife on its shores and in its waters. Sailing in the waters of both Botswana on the near side and Namibia on the far side of the river, we had a great experience on our cruise. Then we returned to the Chobe Marina Hotel for lunch, after which we went into Chobe National Park by open-air vehicle for a spectacular afternoon game drive. I highly recommend this day trip out of Vic Falls and recommend, too, that visitors plan on a three-night hotel stay in Vic Falls to allow sufficient time to enjoy both the Falls and Chobe (and maybe an excursion into Zambia, too).
