If you are considering a safari in Botswana, you need not look any further than Last Eden Safaris as your safari operator. Peace and his crew made every moment of our trip enjoyable and memorable. The very talented K.D. prepared the most delicious meals for us and dining under the stars was amazing. Our tent was comfortable and when we arrived at each of our three camps, there was a little extra touch that gave us a warm welcome to our next home. Peace is extremely knowledgeable about the land, animals, and birds, and how they fit into the entire ecosystem. His planning as we navigated the Okavango Delta, Savuti Marsh, and Chobe National Park (he’s also an excellent driver over the deep sand “roads”) provided us with numerous opportunities to see many different animals. Peace didn’t simply point out an animal to us; there was always an accompanying story or bit of information that helped us understand what we were looking at and why it was important. Peace was just as excited as us when we saw the animals, and that tells you it’s not just a job for him. He cares deeply about this country and all it offers. And now we do too!

When looking for a great experience, this should be your number 1 choice!
We have been on several safaris with Peace and Last Eden Safaris and it has always been a wonderful trip and outstanding experience.
Peace, the guide, gives his best to make everyone happy (which he always achieves) and convinces with his enormous knowledge about basically everything in the wilderness of Botswana.
In the camp we always had a very friendly team, giving us everything we needed and hosting us very nicely. The food also was delicious!

Not to forget: coming so close to lions, leopards, wild dogs, elephants etc. is such an unique experience, which Peace makes possible!

We are already dreaming of going on another safari with the best guide ever.

We have travelled with Peace and Last Eden Safaris on a number of occasions. This is a very personalised and professional safari with the guide (Peace) being the business owner. He is clearly a very talented and experienced guide who will enthrall you with his knowledge of the bush and its inhabitants. Not only will you experience a safari of a lifetime but Peace and his team will make you feel safe and welcome and you will certainly not regret choosing Last Eden Safaris. Our favourite areas are: Chobe, Savuti and the Moremi wetlands.

I brought a guest to see the beauty of the Chobe region. The decision to find a guide was an easy one, I had travelled several times with Peace Shamuka of Last Eden Safaris in Kasane and find him to be the best guide in the region.
We did a game drive and boat trip into the Chobe National Park. Peace combines a profound knowledge of fauna and flora with a compassion for his work and dedication to the wellbeing of his clients.
His calm and assured manner ensured us good game viewing, he allows the animals to approach rather than hunt them down.
Peace also organised our transfer to Victoria Falls and we were well looked after by his contact George.
For anyone looking for a good and gifted guide for a memorable tour in Botswana, Peace Shamuka is your best choice.

When in Kasane,Botswana I met the director of Last Eden Safaris.I didn't have a lot of time left and I decided for a 24 hours trip.We left early morning to Chobe National Park and spent all day looking for animals, not only lions, leopards or cheetahs but all kinds of them as we discovered them. The night was spent in tents which have been put up by the team.We have had the occasion of listening to the noises of the night and it has been very interesting.
It has been a wonderful experience.Everything has been thought for the comfort of the client, the meals were excellent .The knowledge of the director about the wild life is immense and I always felt secure. His professionalism is as great as his kindness and he has a good team with him.
I'm looking forward to spend more time in that beautiful country and enjoy again to be so close to nature and wild life, thanks to Last Eden Safaris.

Peace and the team catered well for our time in Botswana. We a large group .. perhaps larger than they normally deal with so they were stretched but coped admirably although one day was a bit too ambitious for a group of our size. Sitting and watching elephants luxuriate in mud baths, observing magically coloured small birds go about their day and being in the front row to watch a group of wild dogs catch and consume an impala in minutes were all experiences that will stay with us forever.

We arrived in Maun on June 29th where we and our group led by Deb Stephens (Timeless Journeys) were met by Peace Shamuka and his wonderful employee Relax. Over dinner they explained what we were going to be seeing and doing for the next 24 days. The following is a list of my observations, recommendations and my conclusion.

Peace was totally attentive to our wants and needs and in any situation he and Relax would ensure our comfort and satisfaction.

Both guides are walking encyclopedias of knowledge in any subjects related to their beloved Botswana. Every animal, each blade of grass, the many birds, the changing skies, the people.

I was especially moved by Peace and Relax and every Botswanan along the way. The happy little children in the villages and cities, the villagers that Peace had at his camp to entertain us in their native music and dance, but mostly Peace and his crew.

We would spend long days in the safari trucks but right at about 10 a.m. We'd stop and Peace and Relax would open up their camp table and serve us fresh French pressed coffee, tea, biscuits and fruit. At periodic intervals we would stop to "check the tire pressure". The guides would sweep the area and clear us to go to our respective areas, boy one way and girls the other. Tires were good.

Upon arriving at our camps at sunset each evening we'd be met by the camp crew beneath a canvas canopy to a long table decorated with beautiful linens and stem ware, amazing South African wines and a roaring campfire where we'd recall our daily adventures and all get to know each other better each day. Eric the chef and his crew were miraculous with the several courses made available every night. The baking of breads, cakes and biscuits over a woodfire was very impressive.

We were mostly 13 strangers from the western hemisphere and Europe most with no idea of what was to occur. The chemistry of the group mixed with that of the guides and the crew was remarkable. We are all dear friends for life. I left Botswana with great memories and a deep love and admiration for Peace and his wonderful son Andrew. We are family......forever.

It’s hard to pick the best moment of the wildlife Safari as each encounter with the magnificent creatures was unique. Our guides, Peace and Relax, were extremely knowledgeable about the habits and characteristics of the animals that live in the National park in Botswana. They were kind and courteous and I can’t thank them and their support enough for providing such a fabulous experience.

Huge thanks to Peace for the most amazing experience for our family. A safari our kids will never forget and our best experience in Africa ever!
We highly recommend anyone looking for a safari experience with a knowledgeable guide to contact Peace!
Highlights for us included being surrounded by a pride of lions that were within metres of the safari truck, three lions hunting a buffalo in a chase to remember and our night safari being surrounded by hundreds and hundred of buffalo. Simply amazing experiences and so many more.
Food was great, loved our tents in the African bush. Highly recommend!!!
