Amboro handled all of our ground arrangements for a bird watching tour in Bolivia. Unfortunately for us, our tour coincided with the Boilivian Elections and by the time we arrived in Cochabamba travel by road became impossibe due to increasing roadblocks. Amboro helped rearrange our trip to Uyuni (bring that part forward), sorted out airtickets at no cost to us, and refunded the unused portion of our tour without complaint. Due to flight delays, we also could not get to Amboro National park, but Amboro sorted out alternative accommodation seamlessly. Their helpfulness and honesty cannot be faulted, and I would have no hesitation using Amboro again if we get back to Bolivia. When travelling in Bolivia, you expect some hiccups alongh the way, but Amboro made it as easy as they possibly could

We were hesitating between different national parks to visit in Bolivia and finally decided in last minute to go to the Kaa Iya because it seemed more unique. We compared different agencies and soon realised it was going to be very expensive but also that it needed some permits that could take days to get and we only had a week. Marco from amboro tour (who seemed to offer the tour for a little bit less than some other agencies) was very quick to answer on WhatsApp and went to buy the national park tickets and get the permits even before we first met or pay anything, just based on trust and our will to use his services. We couldn't have visited the park otherwise. Yes, the tour is very expensive for Bolivia, probably because it's a very remote place that needs private transportation and because there is very little competition as only two or three agencies offer this tour. He was also worried that we would get disappointed about not seeing enough wildlife for the price we paid. We also decided to go for 2 days in the north part of Amboro, with our guide Hernan that were great and intense. We did a lot of hikes (almost 15 hours in two days) as Hernan realised we were willing to do so. He has a lot of knowledge about the animals, a really good eye and was able to hear and chase monkeys from 200 meters away ! He had just enough time between the walks to cook basic but really good meals for us. You should know there is not "spectacular" wildlife because people live nearby the entrance of the park, but we saw 3 types of monkeys, a lot of birds, small caimans, a rodent, frogs, insects. Marco agreed to do the tour with us despite risk of blocus because of the elections, after warning us that we might have difficulties to come back. We left early to avoid blocus on the first day and had to come back by public transport (he had to leave his car there). In Kaa Iya our guide was still Hernan, still willing to do a lot of hikes, still as nice and really good to catch sight of wildlife. Marco was here to drive us during the many drives day and night. The conditions are really hard in the park but it's part of the trip and we were warned. Wildlife is hard to see in the park, but we managed to see two kinds of monkeys, parrots, pecari, tapir, Ocelot cat, fox, deers, tarentule, snake, tucans, and all sorts of birds. Yes Marco is not the warmest person, but he does what he says, knows the places and the good guides, and he was never reluctant to drive us through the middle of the night to try to see wildlife. We had a great stay thanks to him!

Worst company ever. Really bad communication. They cancelled our Tour after everything was agreed. Communication is very unfriendly. Absolutely no recommendation!

We booked 3 days / 2 nights trip. Everything was perfectly organized, our room in the lodge was amazingly clean, we spent a lot of time walking in the forest and observing plants and animals and also bathing in the river. Maybe the only drawback was that the guide did not speak English but we managed with pieces of our Spanish.

I tried to get in contact with this company for a trip to the Noel Kempf national park via whatsapp. Their reply was quite fast...except for them proposing another trip. Then, after trying with multiple questions to understand why they didn't want to provide info on the park I was interested in, they invited me to contact another tour company and bacame offensive via chat. Considering the price for a 4 days trip (1000 USD), they should treat better their customer. I would never invest a single cent on this company!!
