Three days in Toro Toro were peace of mind. At some point it felt odd to hear the sound of a car or motorbike because usually one only hears the wind and maybe the sound of some farm animals. Staying in Toro Toro offers opportunities for both guided walks and exploring the surrounding by your own. We went swimming at... More

The road from Cochabamba to ToroToro could be better, but the 4-6 hour ride is worth it. The official guides office in the central square has lots of information and it was all very reasonably priced. We took a tour into the canyon, which was great. Our guide (Spanish-speaking only) was very experienced and constantly gave us nuggets of information.... More

I had heard about the beauty of Toro Toro and had seen plenty of pictures (father in law in a native of this tiny little town), but nothing came close to describing it: just magnificent! Please keep in mind that if you travel here, you are going for the natural beauty of the place. In many cases, you will be... More

In my footprint handbook we read about national park Torotoro and decided to visit it. However, when we got to the travel agencies it turned out that they do trips for 185 dollars and more.. as we are travelling low budget this was no option. We decided to visit the park by taking a local bus (35 bolivianos) and book... More

We went with friends from Cochabamba so they had a car to take us. The trip was about 4-5 hours over dirt cobblestone like roads up mountains. The city is pleasant enough. We stayed in the Urkupiña hotel connected to the el dinosaurio restaurant. One of the nicer hotels I think. My husband and I were in a room with... More

We had seen pictures of this place and absolutely wanted to go. Turns out, not so easy to do so. With help from a local agency we boarded a local minibus to the town with the same name. Come early or you'll end up on the back of the van and these Bolivians are tough. We only stopped once on... More

Absolutely incredible. Not much English spoken in the town which can be tricky but still manageable. Caverna is incredible! Do what you need to do to go on this tour because it will be a highlight of your trip!

The park is really cool the tours are great but the organisation of them is a little crazy. The city is rubbish and the food is very so-so... restaurants are very poorly run and sometimes take over an hour to be served! Three days is sufficient time here
