I had seen pictures before I visited, but nothing prepared me for how amazing this place is. Just walking around is enough to some extent if you know the story of the Hero-Fortress, although of course that will depend on each person's scale of interest....More

Very impressive complex and well maintained. There is a lot to see and to learn about this fortress. I followed the English guidance in the museum and was impressed on what was to see and all the information given. Definitely worth a visit.

This impressive fortress is a must see on your visit to Brest. It is well preserved, and the memorials are well done.

Probably one of the most impressive monuments I've ever seen. I arrived early around 8:30am and I was probably one of the only people there. However large groups started to show up around 9.

We enjoyed this throwback. There is a lat to see and a lot to watch. Good for kids also. Plenty of room where to run!

Had a walk round for an hour or so which doesn't really do the place justice. Like a big commy theme park without the rides or the fun. Everything done on a grand scale but not a lot in English though.

The most impressive place to visit in Brest. There are churches, museums and giant monuments so worth a few hours to wander around.

Everything here is so massive! If you want looking and visiting every spot - take all day. I liked war museum. Didn't hope this so modern, interesting.

No way that you can visit Brest and not visit its fortress, so I complied. Lots of heroic stories surround it and the whole thing is huge. Very impressive but after a while I had enough of it an the whole war thing, so I...More

Huge, sprawling ruins of Brest Fortress which was destroyed during the Second World War, with museums/monuments/churches/etc. which were later built on the site. You can easily spend a day here, but fortunately we were with friends from Minsk who told us they would show us...More
