We stayed here at the little creek campground in our 5th wheel. The campground was great. We had a lot of fun and never found ourselves bored, there was so much to do at the park itself. Beautiful place to really see all the fall colors. The horse trails and paddle boats were already closed for season. But my kids... More

It is a beautiful park. The rooms in the hotel are old but nice. It is a very charming place to go for hiking.

A mid-October Tuesday and we found the "open year-round" park's campsites' restroom/shower facilities had signs declaring "closed for the winter" in most areas. Only one small campsite area was open on a first-come basis, and it had no spaces close enough to facilities for handicapped people to access. The restaurant, too, was closed. Disappointing, because there is still much lovely... More

My family and I love to visit Mahoney State Park. There is always something to do there year around. Trails, parks, horse riding, etc. Check it out!

Lots of outdoor time with the grandkidlets to expend some of their energy. Well kept outdoor playground. Not a fan of indoor ball pits, but they are. Too many tweens running over the top of littles with no visible supervision. Oh well. We didn't stay long before hitting the trails again.

After spending a couple of hours in the safari park nearby we headed to Mahoney. Soon after entering the Park our group paused to cook our lunch in a campground firepit. Afterward eating we drove through the Park and looked for a suitable hike to do. We decided on the trails near the lodge. We hiked through the dense trees... More

We travel from Texas each year for Providential History Festival and we have stayed at Mahoney 5 of the 6 years. We stayed at Platte River SP once - and only once. We typically stay in a treetop with our family of 9 but this year we got Prairie Wolf 27 and the layout is great for a large family!... More

We visited this park for the first time as part of a reunion. We were pleasantly surprised with all there was to do. Whether it was a walk on a nice trail, the small arboretum, the expansive swimming pool, marina, or horse back riding it was well designed, with plenty to do for everyone. We did have a little trouble... More

We are usually easy to please and don't typically complain. We heard so much about Mahoney. In May we tried to make a reservation for a campsite. The only opening for a weekend was the last weekend in August. The week before arrival received an e-mail of limited hours in the water park. Friday the pool didn't even have water... More

MY wife and I spent three nights at Mahoney State park in the middle of August, 2016. We enjoyed our stay very much. Our morning walks on the paved trail around the park were great. You are also able to rent a paddle boat, play putt-putt golf, hit golf balls on a driving range, and go horse back riding. The... More
