I offered to take my 81 year old father on a trip of his choosing, keeping in mind his limited mobility. After considering many options, he chose to visit Mahoney State Park for our two night getaway. We stayed in a lodge room with a deck, enjoying the fabulous view every moment we had. Wild turkeys-a female and male and... More

Went for the melodrama and once again it was a hoot. Throw popcorn and boo at the villian, cheer the hero etc. Plenty of fun for all ages.

Lots to do. Lots of fun. We live close and come here to camp once a year. Our latest trip we were disappointed in the condition on the facility's. We found many buildings filthy and looked like they needed allot if attention. The pool was fun. The restaurant at the lodge was awful. $17 and the salad was wilted and... More

Our 6 & 9 year old grandchildren enjoyed the well maintained playground equipment. We also went to the activities center.. the staff was very patient with the little ones as they asked questions & touched the different exhibits. The 9 year old climbed the tower and was so excited to see the Platte River!! Great place for a picnic and... More

I was a bit skeptical after reading the reviews about our upcoming trip we had booked to stay in the lodge. It was a great experience EXCEPT the restaurant. Avoid at all costs if you can. Our room in the lodge was very nice. It was big. We had a handicap accepssible room and the shower was nice and big... More

Mahoney park is great family place! There are lots of things to do whether it's Summer or Winter. We love to have picnics! It's fun to just get back to nature and enjoy the park.

My family absolutely loves Mohoney State Park. We often come here to do some hiking or play mini golf. There is so much beauty and nature all around here. We see deer, rabbits, tons of birds, frogs, fish, beavers, and many other animals here. If you are up for a climb the tower is super fun! We like to run... More

We stopped here on our way home from the drive through animal park. You will need a Nebraska Park Sticker OR you can purchase a day one for 5.00 at the entrance. There is a swimming pool, camping, paddle boats, fishing, observatory tower to climb, picnic areas, horse back riding, cabins to rent and hiking trails. Not a lot of... More

I spent two days at the lodge in a second floor balcony room that faced the river. Noise from traffic along I-80 was constant and loud. The trains would also blow their whistles at 4 am and 5 am daily. There was no food available except an over priced buffet that would not allow ordering smaller meals or al a... More
