Wave pool, horseback riding, fishing, melodramas; there's many things for families to do while visiting Mahoney, don't forget the ice skating in the winter!

We stayed for 5 nites with our kids and grandchildren & had so much fun. There is plenty to do in the park and the surrounding area & the park is relatively nice. There are things that need fixing or an overhaul but it's still OK. I think the park rangers clean the rooms/cabins because they aren't really cleaned too... More

I really liked this campground but there were a few things keeping it from 5 star. There is currently construction near the entrance as it's a bear to get in and out. The campgrounds are well cared for but only a handful have water hookups. The sites are almost all pretty shady and not too close together. There are shower... More

Mahoney is packed with attractions from swimming, to horseback riding, camping, fishing, dinner in the ledge, renting a cabin, or doing a craft. There are plenty of hiking trails, a lookout tower, and even a play place for the kids. One of the best parks in Nebraska!

This is somewhat better than platte river state park. I mean both are wonderful if you like nature. This has a taller observation deck than platte river state park.

Had a large family reunion at the park. Our family group had two of the 6 bedroom cabins plus other cabins and lodge rooms. Was very nice to have air conditioning and space to eat and chat. We walked to the top of the observation tower at least daily. The swimming pool is very nice, but does cost extra even... More

I offered to take my 81 year old father on a trip of his choosing, keeping in mind his limited mobility. After considering many options, he chose to visit Mahoney State Park for our two night getaway. We stayed in a lodge room with a deck, enjoying the fabulous view every moment we had. Wild turkeys-a female and male and... More

Went for the melodrama and once again it was a hoot. Throw popcorn and boo at the villian, cheer the hero etc. Plenty of fun for all ages.

Lots to do. Lots of fun. We live close and come here to camp once a year. Our latest trip we were disappointed in the condition on the facility's. We found many buildings filthy and looked like they needed allot if attention. The pool was fun. The restaurant at the lodge was awful. $17 and the salad was wilted and... More
