I had not planed on stopping here but we were stuck in Alliance because of a breakdown! My son found these scooters we could rent so we were able to explore the town. this Park & fountain were clean, Green, & a pleasant escape from the HOrrable Motel we were stuck at. Bonus, A local was there with his blue Macaw Parrot which loved on my children & created a lasting memory. he was also able to give us inside info on a place to have lunch. I recommend that one always, talk to the locals!

If you are overnighting in Alliance, an evening visit to the Central Park Fountain is a must. The fountain with its lights is quite spectacular. It was fun just watching it for a few minute, and taking a quick walk through the park.

Looking around Alliance we stumbled upon their park and what a nice respite. Sat there for awhile admiring their fountain. And impressed by the friendliness of the people in the park! Just a few families, but welcomed us to their town.

We sat in this park for awhile and watched the fountain. We wished it would continuously be on, but it only went for little bits at a time.

We went during the day. It was very nice. There’s some benches to sit on. It’s right next to the military museum. We didn’t get to see it at night but I heard it’s beautiful.

What a relaxing place to stop for a picnic or a short walk. The park is obviously well maintained and the historic aspect of the fountain is fascinating.

This is a national historic site and worth a stop if you are in the Alliance area. While it's not the Bellagio fountain, the displays (especially lighted up at night) are interesting and varied. The fountain is in a beautiful park area just outside of the downtown and we were impressed with how large and well kept it was. There is a nice (large) dog park and an arboretum nearby.
Be aware that this is a seasonal attraction due to the local weather.

Lovely place to sit quietly and pass the evening just watching the newly renovated light display and listen to the soothing sound of rushing water. Day or night this is a great place to just enjoy. It is also right next to the parks and the Sallows military museum and across the street is the Knight Museum. The military museum also houses a conservatory with a wide range of native and not so native plants and flowers. Many benches and picnic tables to be able to hold family reunions or just picnics with friends or family. The shelter house across the street is also available to rent for parties or gatherings of any kind.

On a summer evening, this light-and-water show is entrancing. The programming keeps the performance varied, with water and lights following a fine choreography. Sit down and enjoy it.
