We snow hiked in and out up twelve miles to Hidden Mine. What a wowie of a day. Be prepared for deep snow at higher elevations and a consistent cloying cold.

We almost moved here (P-Burg), but we couldn't look past the mostly dead forest that has been ravaged by bug kill. Unfortunately, this is happening across much of the west. Anyway, nice lake with plentiful wildlife and supposedly good fishing.

Absolutely wonderful Lake, camping, fishing, boating, relaxing at the Philipsburg Bay Campground. A bull Moose in velvet hung-out just up above out camp site and walked down through the grounds daily. He was the most photogenic moose I have seen lately.

We were staying in a nearby cabin with a great view of the lake and surrounding areas, but I would have to say that the highlight of the area was the loop drive around the lake. Most of the road is paved with a short...More
