Nice place for a picnic by the lake

Beautiful lake and millions of ducks! What a great place to stop for a picnic lunch by the water. Beautiful drive on the Scenic Pintler Veterans Memorial Highway MT1.

Georgetown Lake is a more shallow lake with good fishing. It is a beautiful Lake with a lot of wildlife around the area. It is close to Philipsburg, Anaconda, and Fairmont Hotsprings. There is winter skiing in the area.

This place is only 15 miles from my front door. I am a photographer, landscape and wildlife. This area of Montana has everything you could want for photoshoots. For locals, this is the go to place to fish year round, ice fishing included. I love the fact that I can get up to the lake before dawn and have the... More

Great fishing. Great scenery. There is a lot of beauty all around and places to eat. It is quiet without being over run. Lots of wild life, birds and moose. Adjust your viewing times to suit the animals...although a moose took a stroll at noon one day in broad daylight and swam the lake. Good lake for kyaks, canoes or... More

This is a pretty lake with picnic areas and plenty of places to launch a boat. We spent 4 days there and caught enough trout for dinner for 20. The scenery is amazing!

We stayed in the wooded campsite. We are Montana residents and seniors so we got a discount. The lake draws bald eagles for nexting along with many other species. Great for Fishing or boating also. A must if you want to get back to nature. Tents or Campers were welcome there. Make reservations as it gets busy in summer June-September.... More

The best Fourth of July Parade in the state. Great stop over spot on your way to Anaconda, or Phillipsburg.

Most beautiful lake to fish on. Absolutely gorgeous! Watched a couple hawks mating in the air. It was vey windy but found a sweet spot and loved it.
