I brought my 9-year-old cousin to Bunker Park for her birthday present and we did an hour-long trail ride. She loved it but wished we could've been able to do some trotting, not just walking. We saw a bull snake, wild turkeys, and songbirds throughout the ride.

Bunker Hills Stables in Coon Rapids, MN offers beautiful scenic trails where one can enjoy riding well kept and well trained horses. I found the staff to be very informative and friendly. Very clear instructions were given to riders to help ensure fun and safety prior to enjoying the 3 mile long trail. Our group was fortunate to see several deer, hawks and a rather stately coyote! The trails weave safely through beautiful woods with views of fields and pasture lands. I will definitely return......perhaps for lessons too!!!

We went here for a hay ride. The flat bed was nice and they have a 45min trail. You can stop halfway and run up and down the sand hill. They let the kids jump off and on the back of the wagon with parents’ permission. This was a big highlight!

Staff is very rude to people, took my personal horses out and they act like the trails are theirs but they are for public use to anyone, aka the taxpayer. Only a handful of staff members are nice to us. Horses are thin and not healthy looking at all. They have no hay during the day, horses are meant to graze most of the day. Can't imagine this is very healthy for their digestive systems, good way to cause colic. The horses hooves look terrible. This place has gone downhill the last few years. They need to step up the care of those horses and stop working them so hard especially when it is hot out and give those elderly horses a break. Sad to see a once nice place to go to go downhill.
