We went for a "Backstage Experience" and it was a lot of fun. We got to see costumes, set designs etc. We got to go on stage and see it from that perspective. We enjoyed the show and the actors/actresses!

I did not know what to expect going in. I have always drove by this place for decades and never went to a show. My grandmother used to rave about this place, but again, not enough to get me to go. Finally I had gotten around to it after working through my "must do at least once" bucket list. I... More

The Barn Theatre (and school) is one of our favorite places to go in the summer. The energy surrounding this place is amazing. The young, non-equity, players keep this place alive with music, drama and fun. When they combine their talents with the returning equity actors, the quality of performance is outstanding. No matter what the show, the staging and... More

This is a very unique theatre where the actors do all the work, from parking lot attendant to selling tickets, to ushering, then on to the Show! They do it ALL! Very impressive! Many famous people have been discovered here! Go and find out for yourselves! It is a night out that you will remember!

Cute place! Very tight seating. Long legs do not fit well on the seats. Also if some one tall is sitting in front of you hope there is an empty seat you can move to. show was ok. The costumes were quite revealing. I was a bit shocked at the women wearing bras and several crotch and bun shots.

I've been going to the barn for over 25 years. I feel spoiled by the quality and rarely enjoy our civic theater because the barn is so amazing. Make sure you reserve a table at the bar for the after show where the apprentices really get to shine.

The Barn Theater has been entertaining patrons for 69 years...is a professional equity theater and training ground for performers, We just returned from the last performance of "Rock of Ages", a great, happy musical sung by well trained, professional voices. The choreography was invigorating and exciting, precise, as good as anything I've seen on Broadway. Never been disappointed at the... More

Went for the first time with a group of 16 people. Its nice to see an old barn used for something instead of rotting away and falling down. Show was very good and the barn was air conditioned and very comfortable.

In existence since 1946, the Barn is truly a throwback to summer theater as it has been produced across the country for generations. With a combination of professional and college level performers, the set-up feels like Mickey and Judy putting on a show in the best sense of the concept. Between Memorial Day and Labor Day, they mount 9 fully... More

I attended the opening night performance of Escanaba in Da Moonlight, a farcical tale of an Upper Peninsula deer hunting camp. The performance was quite good, and the storyline very funny. The cast was well suited to the play. If the rest of the season is as good it will be a very good one for the Barn Theater. I... More
