The Ark is a world class music venue. Small, intimate, fabulous sound system. Top artists in many genre, particularly Americana come to play and perform. The recent renovation has been a good improvement.

The Ark is an amazing Ann Arbor non-profit treasure. They host several hundred shows a year (!) in an intimate venue. There really are no bad seats but it's worth paying a bit extra for a reserved seat. Every past and future famous folk and...More

Membership required for alcohol service. Don’t forget this little tidbit. Membership will be food for a couple of months or so which was convenient since we returned 6 weeks later for another show. The sound mix for the Royal Wood performance was outstanding but not...More

I’ve gone to 2 concerts here, and I had great experiences both times. It’s in a great location on Main Street and I love the variety of artists they invite. It feels super intimate and cozy. There aren’t many seats so I recommend getting there...More

This venue holds several hundred people and all of the seats look like they have good views of the performers. We went to see Lunasa in March 2019, sat near the back of the reserved section (most tickets are general admission) and the sound quality...More

The ark is an amazing venue and even though I arrived with a very ungrateful person. The staff was amazing and Sam and his band killed it. I left thrilled to have gone and amused at my partner for trying to make the night bad.

A one of a kind tiny venue with outstanding sound and musical acts. The most respectful audience. Go to discover new music. A wonderful experience.

This was my first visit to the Ark. We had an amazing time listening to Arturo Sandoval. He and his group put on a fantastic show. The venue worked out very well. Even in general admission we had a great view of the show. It...More

We went here in September to watch a Riders in the Sky Concert. The volunteers that work the venue were super friendly. We loved that there wasn’t a bad seat in the house. The small intimate venue was the perfect place for the concert.

No. You have to have a membership to purchase beer or wine and they won't sell you one if you're under 21. Venues in Ann Arbor, being a college town regularly check ID before serving alcohol.

Stairs, yes, but there’s also an elevator. Seats are average width— not particularly crowded.
