About
Lake Forest Golf Club and Practice Center is Ann Arbor's premier public golf course and banquet center. Located in a completely natural settings, at Lake Forest you will find excellent course conditions, exceptional service, delicious food and a charming clubhouse. Our Ann Arbor Golf Club is built around a fully renovated turn-of-the-century farm house. Be sure to stop by for lunch, dinner or for a drink. Our restaurant, Ogies Bar & Grille offers a delicious pub menu featuring freshly prepared food and an extensive beer and liquor selection. Our expansive banquet room, and large deck overlooking the course, is available for any size group to gather after their game and for special events. For the golfer who has to work late, we are equipped with a driving range where you can sharpen your skills. Golf lessons are available from our PGA Professional Doug White. We are locally owned and operated and are entering our 24th season!

I played league here last year. The staff is great and attentive (although the cart gals need some training). The main bartender/manager is great and the rangers keep play moving. They have reasonable prices for golf and the food is priced fairly as well. The course greens were in good shape with some noticeable ball marks that lazy folks can't seem to bend over and repair. This year with the rain the tee boxes and fairways were in great shape. Some folks don't like the tall meadow grass outside of the far rough cuz if you go in there it's gone. There are plenty of holes you can spray the tee shot on but some have that grass so be prepared to loose a couple of balls if you don't hit straight.

No houses!!! Nice track, used to host women's pro events. Only one 'iffy" hole. Well worth the reasonable greens fee

Used the online booking link from the golf course website, including a deposit, but when I arrived the course had no record of it. They then sent us out early so we couldn't warm up, hit balls, etc. The course is wide open except for 5 or 6 nice holes in the woods. The open holes you can literally see about 6 other holes -- not generally what I like in a course design. The wind also comes into play on most holes due to this layout. Also, there are a good number of ladies and seniors on this course so if you're in a hurry stay home, speed is not on the menu at Lake Forest. This includes the clubhouse bar where the server took forever. The course is in good shape, especially the greens, and you can score well but again, not the most aesthetically pleasing course in the area.

I held my company's annual holiday party here last night, and could not be happier with Lake Forest. The clubhouse is open and spacious, and they make the entire clubhouse available to you and guests, not just a section. The food was delicious, and the pairings were perfectly timed. The staff were very attentive, clearing discarded dishes and trash quickly from the tables and remained eager to assist. The owner was present and serviced the event all evening. The guests were so happy, they have been sending texts and emails all day raving about the venue, food and service. Last, but certainly not least, the space is priced so right. You'd be hard pressed to find anything comparable for their rates in Ann Arbor. In short, if you're looking for a larger venue to host an event, look no further.

This course is in Ann Arbor but is on the outskirts and is a little gem. The course was in great shape and the greens were fast.

Whether hosing a business meeting, setting up a golf outing for charity, donating a silent auction or raffle prize - Lake Forest is always giving back to the community. Privately owned, predominately woman owned, good pro, and consciencly run with the customer in mind. Give them a try.

Fun local course that does host LPGA Futures Tournaments. Course is well-maintained and playable. Prices are reasonable and a very good value.

Our company golf outing was held at Lake Forest Golf Course this August, this is the first time I played there in several years. We had a really nice time, the course was in great shape, the greens were fantastic. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice and accommodating the staff was. I look forward to our next visit.
