Stopped here for the first time recently and loved it! The selection of home accessories was fantastic. And with all the candles and potpourris, the store smelled so good! It was well worth my time, and I came away with a bagfull of of new decorations.

This small two level store (believe it was originally a general store) has unique items from furniture (high quality) to candles. It's had to label what type of store it is. Gift store, nick knack store, furniture store, maybe country store......if any of these interest you, then it's worth the trip. Make sure to sign up for the e-mail and mailers for special discounts. You can find a lot of good deals, but regular prices on so items might be consider on the high side.
Side note, they are not far from Domino Farms (Dominos Pizza World Headcourters) which has a petting farm. It's worth a stop too!

Visited this store on a recent visit to Ann Arbor with family. SO cute! My favorite kind of store. Wandered around looking at all the adorable Christmas and decorating stuff, each cuter than the last! But wait...there's an upstairs?! Oh man I was in heaven. Great selection of gifts, candles, Christmas ANYTHING, collectibles, candy, yummy-smelling hand creams, awesome big clocks...just so much to see! I will definitely go back next time I'm in town!

The Dixboro Store is okay. I cannot imagine driving hours for a visit. If your home is decorated in the over priced country look stuff (country lace curtains, scented candles and wood signs) you will love it. If you choose a more classic approach to decorating you will be disappointed. The only thing I would recommend is there dip mix that they carry. Other than that I would not plan a day trip around the place.

This is a warm and cozy litte store with candy and nick naps and everything else a little store could have. It is a great place to go around Christmas. The reason it is average is because I make mapple syrup in dixboro and they don't sell it. The dixboro general store does not sell dixboro mapple syrup. We have had people say they wanted syrup but couldn't find it at the one place you would think it is.

Dixboro is a small town just outside of Ann Arbor. It is like a mini trip to Vermont! The Dixboro General Store is delightful. I visited just after Christmas and it had delightful Christmas items for sale.
If you don't like history and don't like country decorating, this won't be your favorite. But I loved wandering through the big old country home and living in the past.
Dixboro General Store is only about 1 mile off US 23 North - Plymouth Road exit 41 head east.

Lovely shop with some really cute and unique Christmas gift ideas. Lots of decorative items, throw pillows, serving dishes, candles and cute and unique ornaments. Delicious Sea Salt Caramels! Definitely worth checking out. We stopped on our way to Frankenmuth. Will definitely be back.

If you like to browse around rooms and rooms of knickknacks, scented candles, cute plaques, decorations, etc, this is the place for you. It looks like an old two story farm house but is actually two houses connected by a passageway which is cleverly made to look like another room. In October the decor was heavy on pumpkins and at Christmas time it is really beautiful with seasonal decorations.

A cute country store in an old house...what's not to love? If you're looking for items you might find at a fall festival--wreaths, wooden signs, Michigan pillows and things, etc.--you'll like it here. The store is two levels and has a great selection of items, including some pieces of furniture. It's nice to just wander around the store and see what you find. You won't be disappointed with a trip to Dixboro!

Dixboro General Store does not sell food (well, they sell candy, dip mixes and pop). In the last couple years, there is a small deli that has open accross the street. Tried it once and enjoyed the food. Also, you only a few miles from Ann Arbor (north campus) where there are a inch of places to eat.
