Really great place to visit for a couple of hours. Make sure you get there for the tour down to the footprints (runs at 12 and 1pm, both English and Spanish for the 12 tour, not sure about the 1pm). We were impressed with the quality of the tour given and how up to date the information was, as well as the sheer enthusiasm of our tour guide. The number of footprints are really impressive and we enjoyed it more than we thought we would. We got the shuttle bus from the main square outside the cathedral at 11am (15BOB per person for a return) which delivered us on time for the start of the tour. Tickets cost 30BOB pp and included the guided tour.

Interesting park with important paleontological value. It has a guided tour included but only at 12h and 13h, in this visit you arrive near the wall where the footprints of the dinosaurs and we have the explanation of their formation. I believe that this guided tour made the visit very interesting, a pity to have only two hours. At the top of the park has construction with dinosaurs and other resources to explain. There's snack on site. The value of the entry for foreigners is 30.00 bol. The park's specific transport departs from Plaza Mayor at certain times (foto attached).

"Parque Cretácico offers a fascinating collection of life-sized dinosaur replicas and an interesting exhibition that are undoubtedly impressive. It is particularly worth mentioning that the park is very child-friendly, including a nice playground, making it ideal for family outings. However, it should be noted that the park is heavily geared towards children and the dinosaur tracks, which are a major attraction, are visible from both outside and inside the park, which somewhat reduces the exclusivity. The opportunity to get up close to the tracks only comes once a day at 12:00, which can limit planning for visitors. Those who come specifically for the tracks could also take a look from outside or have to wait for the mentioned time. For a more comprehensive experience of dinosaur tracks, I recommend a tour to the Maragua Crater, e.g. via Goblin Tours or Confort Tours in Sucre. There you will not only see better preserved dinosaur tracks that you can even touch, but also discover other fascinating sights. Overall, I give the Parque Cretácico 3 stars because, despite the exciting exhibits and the child-friendly design, there is room for improvement in some areas."

Very unique and cool site!! Get to the museum in the morning as there are only two tour times that take you down to the wall to see the dino tracks up close! They go at noon and 1pm only! They do the tours in English and Spanish. It is a steep-ish walk down and back up, so wear good shoes and be ready for a mini workout! Worth it though!

Very interesting site. We hailed a taxi from the street for 20 BOB. We arrived about 11:15. It then is a good 10 minute walk up to the entrance gate - so make sure to leave time for that. The English guide started gathering people about 11:45 near the bathrooms at the base of the site. He then stopped at the dinosaurs along the way telling us about each one. We got to the start of the hike down about 12:10. There is a long descent to the wall. However, it's pretty cool to see. He does the guiding in both English and Spanish along the way. It was almost an hour long - and very hot. Make sure to wear sunscreen. Worth doing for sure! Tours down to the wall only happen at 12:00 and 1:00.

The dinosaur tracks are part of a dinosaur park. The park entrance fee includes a free guided tour in English/Spanish, which explains about the discovery of these tracks and the different types of dinosaurs identified. I recommend going for the 12pm or 1pm tour as they are the only ones which go down to visit the actual tracks.

I enjoyed my trip to see the dinosaur tracks but wouldn’t sacrifice a must-do in Sucre to do it. I took the dino bus (bright red bus with dinosaurs on the side, can’t miss it) there and back. I also took the English speaking tour even though I’m an intermediate Spanish speaker (I’m very glad I did since I don’t know dinosaur and archaeological words!). For me, the visit wouldn’t have been worth if I didn’t take the tour. All in all, I enjoyed this activity for a few hours.

Very disappointing visit, first you enter a plastic theme park full of dinosaurs. The museum was filled with plastic bones as well and afterwards they take you to the wall of dinosaur footprints, which was quite interesting. It’s a great park for taking your kids and youngsters, as an adult don’t expect something mind blowing. 🦕🦖

As a lot of people have mentioned it before, the park is nice to visit, but only because of the footprints. So don‘t miss one of the tours at 12:00 or 13:00 PM, otherwise, you‘re not allowed to go close to the footprints. The rest of the park is nicely done, with some dinosaur sculptures, but not more. There is also a very small playground for kids. The entrance fee is 30 BOB plus 5 BOB camera fee, if you want to take pictures. We took the Dino bus from the main square, which was really convenient. The tickets for both ways were 15 BOB and it took us about 30-40min to get there.

If you are in Sucre you must visit this unique site! In no other part of the world you can find so many well preserved dinosaurs’ footprints. Be sure to be there by 12.00 to get the guided tour.

Is there a Public bus to the dinosaurs foodprints ? Or another possibility to come there without a tour and how much cost that all. ? Entrance and drive ? Greetings
Written September 30, 2016
Yes there is a public bus that takes you all the way there for just 1.50 BOB. The site is at the last stop so you can't go past it. I went out on a Sunday or a Monday (I don't recall which) and the site was CLOSED so make sure you check.
