Normally the only way to see the cathedral is by visiting the museum next door, both recommended highlights of Sucre. Alas, both are closed for renovation as of August 2017 and the cathedral isn't even open for services, so there's no way to see it...More

This cathedral is still in great shape. The outside has been well maintained. Statues on all 4 corners on every level of the clock tower. Worth a photo

Knowledgable English speaking guide, but, constantly ushering us through the different rooms. At one point, she was waiting by the light switch, and showing her frustration at our interest in the artefacts . All the way from England for that

Worth a visit if you can figure out and then negotiate the opening hours - as with everything else in Sucre.
