Great show!!! Wear comfortable shoes, sunscreen, and a hat. It's indoors and outside. Something for everyone. Prices are decent. Not sure I'd buy fine jewelry here, but that's a personal preference. Allow plenty of time. Vendors are friendly and knowledgeable. It's just fun. A lot of items are a trip down memory lane. $5 entry per person goes to a good cause and parking is free.

Big selection. Went the weekend of memorial day, 2021. I knew vendors would have lots of stuff after being shut down for the pandemic. It was crowded like a Michigan game and took me 45 minutes to get out to the main road. Going back this weekend.

If you can't find it here it doesn't exist. Everything imaginable under the sun, antiques, collectibles, vintage, and recent.

Allegan is dead after COVID. I’d say les than 2/3 the venders were there. Whole rows were empty. Not much selection from those that were there. Hope it improves with time but I wont be back this year.

I love this place....happens the last Sunday April thru September - my husband and I have been going for the last 3 years and have a ball - what they think as junk, we think of it as treasure. This is a huge place with over 100 vendors if not more. Set within the woods of the fairgrounds, it is quaint but always busy. We will continue to go each year, sometimes we go a few times over the summer

There are indeed a great many vendors, some indoors, many outdoors (at least a couple of hundred). There is adequate parking (at the rate of $4 a person). Access getting in is a bit slow at the beginning of the day, as visitors snake their way in vehicles through the streets of Allegan to reach the Fairgrounds. The Market is very well organized and directed, and there a goodly number of personnel to direct traffic, to assist visitors, and to make sure shopping at the Market is a smooth and trouble-free affair. There were an adequate number of public rest-rooms (no waiting in line), and they were clean.

My wife and I are collectors -- and vendors (primarily of antique and vintage oriental rugs and carpets, but we do also collect and sell a variety of antiques) -- and we had expected to find higher quality antique and vintage items. There were some available, especially and primarily in the enclosed buildings. However much of what was for sale through the Fairgrounds we would classify as on the order of Flea Market sales, not Antiques market items. And very many of the items were rustic or rural in character.

(By the way, there were only two oriental carpets for sale in the entire event; the vendors had no idea of what the carpets were, what region they were from, their age, or what their market value was.)

My wife and I visit flea markets, antique malls, consignment shops, etc. all the time in many locales and we both thought prices for the items throughout this market were pretty high. Not so many deals. We spent 5 hours at the Market and visited every stall..

As for variety, some reviewers have stated or suggested that this Market has everything under the sun for sale, sort of like Alice's Restaurant: you want it? you need it? It's there: Not so. There IS a lot of stuff for sale, but a very great amount of the same, over and over again. So much is not the same as many.

That said, it is a really well organized and well run event. Admission/parking/food prices were reasonable. The Market is a little bit off the beaten path, but on a fine day, it is a pleasant drive to and fro, and overall an enjoyable experience. Just temper your expectations.

Everyone in our group of 7 people loved the trip to Allegan Antiques Market. Some of us mostly just looked and talked to people about how we remember using this or that while the gals found several items to enhance a table setting or their collection.

Lots of dealers and no new stuff! Be prepared to spend all day here as there is so much to see - plus most dealers are in tents and it takes a while to get in and out of each. Prices were on the upper end but still seemed fair.

We were at the antique market this morning. There is one the last weekend of the month, every month April to October. Only $4 entry fee, parking is free. It's a great market, I try to time my trips into Michigan to make this market. Inside and outside vendors, the market goes on rain or shine so come prepared.

Luckily, we live in Allegan so we can easily take advantage of this awesome show. In fact, we never make plans that might interfere with getting there and even miss church in order to get there early, especially if it is hot. We have been going to pretty much every show for the past nine years and have never not found great items. The outside vendors are a bit more flea market although Bill Miller's oak furniture is always beautiful and nicely priced. The vendors in the buildings have higher quality merchandise - we have really found some unique items over the years. It is nice to have the carts available to help you get larger purchases to the car. It can get hot in the summer, so going early is a good idea as it is a very popular venue with big crowds!
