Visiting Viña del Mar was always on our "to do" list. And after joining the Offbeat tour in Valparaiso with these guys (which btw was fantastic), we immediately decided to do the same here. The tour was great! Our guide was Felipe, who is truly local to the place, growing up and still living there. He showed us places we would have completely missed otherwise and packed his stories with lots of history mixed with his personal experience. I honestly don't think there is a better way to explore the area. If you want to dig beneath the surface and remove all prejudice of the place, i.e. only being a commercial beach city, then take the tour. You won't be disappointed.

Felipe was a kind, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic guide during our afternoon in Viña. Luckily for us, there was only one other person on our tour, so it was almost private! If you’re in Viña Del Mar and would like a genuine local’s tour (including all the controversial topics, too!) through the city, take the one with Tours 4 tips!

I took the Valpo/Vina del Mar tour with Tours 4 Tips, and it was excellent! The tour guide was very patient with me, which I truly appreciated since Spanish is my third language.I had no problem following what the guide was saying, and he seemed to know everything about Valpo and Vina. I also took a tour in Santiago with Tours 4 Tips, and would definitely tour with them again if I ever have the chance to return to Chile.

If you want to get a great overview of the city (either Vina or Valparaiso - tours are in both!), this is a great tour for that! You'll definitely get an insiders knowledge. Budget 2-3 hours. Tours also can be bilingual if needed.

Travelled to Vina del Mar from Valparaíso via the train to meet T4T at the famous 1962 flower clock. Walked around the presidential palace area and learned some history of how Vina del Mar was populated after the Valparaíso earthquake. I didn’t realise how different to the cities are. Vina is a wealthy city and it shows. We used the metro to travel into the city centre and ended at the Botanical gardens where the famous song festival is staged. Vina is a totally different experience to Valparaíso and worth a look. The 2 cities contrast each other well. Macarena hosted us and she was fabulous.
