About
Claimed to be the World's Largest Covered Butterfly Garden. The circular garden has ten custom built domes and a butterfly museum. The ten domes are divided into four (4) sections. Each dome is filled with thousands lovely butterflies, 50 varieties of butterfly in different sizes and colors naturally alive, flying around the visitors, and standing over the flowers and the plants. Also, many nectar plants with different colors are planted to feed the butterflies. The domes are climate-controlled, providing the butterflies a relaxed environment and permitting the domes to be open throughout the year.

A paradise for nature lovers, this covered garden is home to more than 15000 butterflies. And they are free to roam about the place and interact with humans. It is a wonderful feeling to walk among flying butterflies and have them come and sit on your hands or fingers or to just sit and relax and watch them go about their routine. The butterflies are of various sizes and multiple exotic colors. A must visit if you are interested in nature getaways. I do recommend to visit the nearby miracle garden first and then the butterfly garden to sit back relax and enjoy the place once you are done roaming about the miracle garden.

After days of being in the city, in buildings, on sidewalks, it was very refreshing to be around plants and all the flitting butterflies. This was one of the things I enjoyed most in Dubai and it was certainly worth the $15 to get in. We spent as much time here as walking around the Miracle Garden because this place was so relaxing. You can stay as long as you want and walk back through the domes if you want to revisit them (which we did). There was no wait for tickets and you can catch a taxi right out front.

Don't be fooled by the combo deal online - you are not buying tickets to both Dubai Miracle Garden and the Butterfly Garden. You're just getting the opportunity to claim 30% off Miracle Garden if you are happy to queue up and do it manually on the day.
Apart from a frustrating online booking experience the Butterfly Garden was as good as ever. With 3 little ones this was our 5th or 6th trip. (yes, we should have worked out the online ticket thing by now)
The staff are excellent. Present without being in your face and, if asked, brilliantly knowledgeable.
The entire place is spotlessly clean and the flow of people well managed to give you time as a group to explore and also ensure that Covid restrictions are met.
There are 3 domes. In dome 3 its really chilled and thats where you're most likely to have butterflies land on you. All 3 domes are lush and green and the air is filled with fluttering friends.
its a short distraction from the usual hustle and bustle. Very relaxing and enjoyable.
worth the money.

Well it didn't take long at the Garden to to get in the mood for butterflies. Read other reviews & you'll get an idea what this experience is like. But in the midst of all these butterflies it's SO much fun to watch everyone being chased by butterflies - or maybe chasing them. To watch big, grown men turn into little kids as they gaze tenderly at a butterfly that has just landed will put a smile on your face.
So many living in desert environments might never get the chance to see something like this....so, thank you.
Also close to Miracle Garden or Global Village where we went after.

This is an interesting place to visit and there are some lovely butterfly's some of which are so people tamed they will actually fly onto you.
There are attendants in the various domes to help you place the butterflies on you as you are walking round the places. I have a real crtitism of this place though - there needs to be more education on these beautiful fragile creatures before entering the various domes on how to handle/not to handle them. I saw children running around and picking them up by their wings which is a big NO NO and literally squashing them on their heads/hands etc. Also they were screaming and shouting which also must upset their calm peaceful nature.
Other than that it was a good place to visit especially after going to the miracle gardens.

True to its name, the set up is an enclosed garden of butterflies of various species. They have four interconnected enclosures housing different types of species in each enclosure. There are small artificial water bodies as well and full of greenery. There is a gallery at the entrance/exit with different artefacts made from dried butterfly wings. There are couple of food outlets for refreshment. Visit

W visited the Dubai Butterfly Garden in the month of Nov'19 & clubbed the visit along with the Dubai Miracle Garden. Both places are next to each other & can be reached by public transport as well. We took the Dubai Metro till the Mall of Emirates & then took the RTA bus 105 to the garden. The garden itself has an awesome variety of butterflies. One can easily spend 1-2 hours at this place.

Really enjoyed this experience.
We choose to walk round quite speedily seeing all four rooms, then we did a second lap as we had then decided where we wanted to spend our time.
We liked room four best.
Butterfly’s sit on the floor, we came up with the code ‘ butterfly alert’ to make sure we didn’t tread on any.
It would be useful if they did a joint ticket with the miracle garden.

This is one place which lags on being in the to-do-list of every visitor , everyone covers Miracle Garden and give it a Miss BUT this is one place which kids enjoy the most . This is the place which offers you plenty of time with butterflies of various species around . Kids were allowed to pick up butterflies through their legs which kept them so much involved and mesmerized . If there was one place which they wanted to visit again in Dubai , then it was butterfly park . Please do visit it if you are travelling with kids . It will take less then 2 hours to cover this park .

the butterfly garden is next door to the miracle garden. you do have to buy a separate ticket to enter which is the same price. however the butterfly garden is relatively small in comparison. Butterflies are flying freely so one can land on you
I would have preferred to see a few more explanations regarding the species

Is Dubai Butterfly Garden a part of the Miracle Garden or do you need to get two tickets?

You have to get two tickets as they just happened to be right next to each other however you need separate ticket for each of them 😊

Hi Mohit,
it doesn't have designated one, only washrooms and cafe.
Can one get luggage inside the butterfly garden as I need to checkout from hotel.

I think it would be difficult to walk through the garden with luggage. It is under four domes and the paths are rather narrow. When I was there, it was very crowded. I guess it depends on how much luggage you have. Maybe there is a place you could leave it while you go through the domes, though.
