Popular shopping mall for locals.
It's a bit far from the city's sights, but a taxi driver recommended that this mall is affordable and has a great selection. Beautiful interior design. It is not the metal, the glass that dominates, but the traditional Indian, Turkish spirit you feel.
It is written about: The Ibn Battuta Mall is a large shopping mall on the Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai close to Interchange 6 for Jebel Ali Village. With more than 270 shops, 50 restaurants, a 21-screen cinema and over 4,500 parking spaces on a total of 521,000 m², Ibn Battuta is the world's largest themed shopping mall.
It was great to buy, the world brand is not full of expensive products, but the prices are affordable. There are places where you could bargain or get very high quality copies.
It's worth going out.

I love going to Homebox Ibn Battuta Mall, especially when there is a sale. Last week, me and my friends went there and there was a huge sale for all items and there’s buy 1 get 1 free for furnitures. We really enjoyed our shopping galore at Homebox. Staffs are so friendly, very welcoming and helpful, Oh special mentioned to NIRODHA who assisted me even when she was busy, she came to me and offered to assist me. Kudos to this girl👏👏👏

This is a great alternative to Dubai Mall or MOE. Although it may seem a little out of the way, it's really not that far from the Marina area. It has its own Metro stop and also the bus to/from Abu Dhabi stops there too.
It's large enough without being overwhelming, easy to get around and a little bit different in that it has different sections with different themes, ie China, India, Egypt, etc. Each section is decorated in the style of that country, ie the architecture and decor, but the stores within each section are not related to the theme, ie China is not full of Chinese stores. It has all the usual "high street" stores and a large Carrefour supermarket, meaning it's an everyday mall with affordable prices as opposed to just being full of luxury designer stores.
It has a large fast food court, as well as some full service restaurants, most of which are right at the end in China, as well as a newer dining section which is just outside the main building (turn left just before you enter the China section).
One of my favourite malls in the area and definitely worth a visit.

THE worst experience I had with Carrefour Hypermarket Ibn Battuta delivery. We bought a washing machine a week ago, supposed to deliver yesterday along with my cooker but they called to cancel and promised to deliver this morning. We waited since this morning till 2 pm, no one called. I called the hotline and after numerous calls, the answer were the same, "We will file a complaint and the relevant department will call you back "AS SOON AS POSSIBLE" and three hours later, there is still no call. One of the operator mentioned the delivery "time frame" was 10 am to 10 pm. I questioned if I am supposed to wait at home from 10 to 10, he said no but the delivery team will call to confirm the timing (which they did not). The delivery eventually came at about 6 pm.
My conclusion, Carrefour cannot handle their delivery, they don't when they said they will call you back, and the delivery system simply does not work. Thats my experience.

It's a very nice mall, size is ok but small comparing to Dubai Mall & Mall of the Emirates.
Many usual shops are there, such as DeCathlon, Max, Carrefour, M&S, also Electronic shops such as E-Max, E-City & Sharaf DG, but i noticed that prices in this Sharaf DG is lower than any other Sharaf DGs shops, don't know why.
Also there are restaurants with a lot of varieties.
Accessible through Metro.
Till next visit.

...with anything you want and everything you don't. The mall's greatest treasure would be the elephant clock that everyone lines up to take pictures. From one end to the other there's all kinds of things to see and do. The mall is anchored by a Carrefour Hypermarket where I bought some fresh food to bring back to my nearby Airbnb. Attached Metro station makes it convenient to get to. Also this is where the bus station to Abu Dhabi is located.

Well located just a stone through from Oaks Ibn Batuta Hotel. Access is easy and a well looked after mall. One of my best experiences was at Paul's for Breakfast and visiting the Etisalat store. Wow rhe experience was great. Also came accross an unique well spoken elderly man who does calligraphy art. An amazing man and his work is impeccable. A must to visit and support this man.

As reviewed earlier this mall is a typical Arabian architecture blending with both old and new. It consists of six courts, each of whose designs are inspired by some of the countries visited by the Moroccan Berber explorer, Ibn Battuta: Andalusia Court, China Court, Egypt Court, India Court, Persia Court, and Tunisia Court. It’s always a pleasure to visit this mall as it’s one of my favourite destinations when I am in Dubai.

This mall is not popular as it would deserve. It has been designed to reflect the travels of Ibn Battuta and it’s split into 6 areas: Andalusia, Tunisia, Egypt, Persia, India and China. Each of these court is themed accordingly, with also some statues. This on top of a great choice of shops, restaurants and a cinema. It’s also very easy to access from the metro.

It is a huge mall in Sheikh Zyed road near Jabel Ali Gardens. It contains Carrefour, lot of shops dealing in different products and many food courts. It contains separate space for each country exhibiting big statue showing the culture of each country. There is a way out to IBN Battuta metro station.

What’s the best way to get from Abu Dhabi to the Ibn Batuta Mall, on a weekday afternoon?

You can either use the RTA buses at the Central Bus Station in Abu Dhabi or take a taxi which is pretty pricey. I prefer taking the buses, they have comfortable seats and the trip schedules aren’t that far in between. Enjoy! ☺️

Yes, 13 of them including iMax! All nestled at the China court, where there are lots of dining options to choose from after a movie date.
