City walk is my most fav spot in dubai with all its vitality and exeburance. Love the terrain around so vibrant and colourful that soothes the mind and soul to the hilt. Different restaurants and kiosks along side make it more lively and happening. An...More

It’s a new nice walking area with shops and restaurants but as for me it’s not a must see. If you have extra time it’s worth visiting. Popular with locals.

An okay place for a walk in the evening. Shops and restaurants on the high end. No major loss if you give this place a miss. Shame, it could be so much better, if us wasn’t so overpriced to shop and eat there.

Good day. Both places are best to be visited in the evening. As it’s well lit and a good time to walk around as well.

There is taxis area for pickup and drop off at the City Walk. However, they usually have someone like a security man who's responsible about organizing the taxis so you may ask if you need any further help.

I will be traveling to Dubai/Jordan with the Jordan leg from 3/26-4/7. Would appreciate comments on this itinerary. I am also a beginner Arabic student so am hoping to use this time to practice my Arabic, though I only speak fusha (فُصْحى). Hoping to sit in on a beginner Arabic class at one of the local schools as well. My preference is to take local transportation but for this itinerary, I do not think it is possible so will most likely rent a car. Day 1 - Arrive in Amman, early AM....More

Albert with such a full on program yes you need rent a car and self drive. your itinerary is doable over two weeks lucky you have that much time. In Amman try stay in downtown where all tourists attractions are located within walking distance Have great time in Jordan Raymond Amman Free walking Tour

My Weekend trip - Trip Report (8 Replies)
Hello, Spent the weekend in Dubai as a stopover on my way home from Pakistan. Was alone so booked into a cheaper hotel so opted for Rove Hotel. It is a great hotel at a great price and at a great budget. The hotel is well located - possibly 5 minutes walk to Dubai Mall via the Bloomingdales entrance. Breakfast is great with a good choice of cooked and continental breakfast options.. Theres a small Zoom shop in the hotel meaning you can grab snacks etc from it easily... Saves a few ££££s...More

It sure is expensive for those living here as well. City Walk is a nice area that is not mentioned a lot. There is a new 5 star hotel there called La Ville which has great views of Burj khalifa from the pool bar
