What an amazing & exhilarating experience in the Dessert. A very experienced driver (Ali) and a route with lots of fun turns! The experience was capped off with some opportunity to take some pictures in the desert as the sun was setting and a light refreshing water to keep us from dehydrating. The dune bashing did have some Arabic tunes in the background to give it that good feeling.

I highly recommend you to do it. It might be the best activity in Doha.

If you are going to buy a package from a website like get your gide, I recommend you to pay attention to the hotel pick up option, it is very comfortable option.

Don't look at those who suggest you to wear shoes or flip flops when choosing clothes. There is not much difference, you can do whichever is a better choice for your part.
Of course, if you wear shoes, sand gets inside. :)

You can take water with you, but even if you do not take water with you, there is water in the vehicle.

After watching a few videos for things to do around Dubai, we booked this "Dune Bashing" package, and in each category, the company met or exceeded expectations.
The local tour company was called Dream Journey Tourism. We were sent an email with a 45 minute pickup at our hotel, but day of the trip our driver/guide Mujeeb was nice enough to send a whatsapp to narrow that down. After picking up other passengers, we were on our way.
-The ride to the desert was comfortable and we made a rest stop.
-The actual dune bashing experience exceeded expectations. The driver was skillful and he played awesome music which really fit the action.
-I actually "sandboarded" in the middle of the desert. Another very cool stop.
-The driver was attentive to our needs and made sure everyone was ok in and outside the vehicle.
-At the camp, the food was pretty good, like typical BBQ food. The hookahs were great, camel ride- check!
-The belly dancer was the truth. I thought I had seen belly dancing before, but this performer was more authentic in many ways.

Overall an enchanting experience that I won't forget. Money well spent!

We booked a private tour which cost a lot more than a normal one so we could have a customized experience. They did not take us to all of the spots we agreed upon before booking. We saw exactly half of what we expected to see. In retrospective it was a waste of money because we could have booked a regular tour for a fraction of the price and see the things we saw on our "customized" tour.

It is not worht it, there is half interesting hour but you spend 7 hours in a car. We were 7 people and barely had space to move.
They took us for dinner to a place where everything was expensive and poorly managed.
Choose for another option if you want to go to the desert.

Just back from a safari with Arabian adventures. While they did handle things pretty professionally...I wouldn't recomend dune bashing to any sane person on earth! I mean why would you want to pay to get tht sick feeling of having your car totaled over! I donno watz even thrilling abt this! Stick to a simple camel ride instead....

What a blast! We did our tour with ABC tours. This was my second time doing this tour but the first for my husband and daughter. We were picked up at the hotel and it took 45 minutes to get to the dunes. We did some dune bashing which was crazy and then stopped at the camp. We then had 30 minutes of driving ATV's through the dessert. Never had so much fun in my life. Then it was back to more dune bashing and these drivers are crazy and give you a ride to remember. Next it was off to ride the camels which is a real treat. We had a great dinner in the dessert with a belly dancing show and fire show. This is a trip you must do while in Dubai. You won't be sorry.

We drove about a half to reach the desert and once there the driver went crazy driving on the dunes. I'm not going to lie it was very scary at times and I was hoping tgat the 4x4 would not tip over. I think 10 minutes of this experience is all you need... we had about 25 minutes. I also felt nausious at the end of the experience. Make sure the seats are buckled.

Booked through Klook an afternoon-to-evening tour with dune bashing, ATV ride, camel ride, & BBQ dinner at a camp with three live shows and other free activities. Had fun with the dune bashing, just sad to see trash along the way, as the desert is a scenic view. Good dinner and nice show (fire dance, belly-dance & a local dance), a must-try when in UAE!
