This public beach is beside Burj Al Arab. Tourists like us went there not for the swimming but to capture a few photos of the famous Burj Al Arab. But last November when we went there, we were so disappointed. There were cranes left and right. It was imposible to have a nice clear photo of this 7 star hotel. Later when we went to Souk Madinat Jumeirah for lunch, we had a few nice photos of Burj Al Arab from there. Umm Suqeim Beach has plenty of changing cubicles and showers to wash off the sand. There are few washrooms, be prepared for line ups. There is a fish & Grill restrauart nearby for your convenience. Happy travelling!

There was a ton of tourists taking pictures of the Burj Al Arab. It was quite crowded in fact with just that. The swimming area was kind of small. It would be hard to enjoy the beach with the number of people who came by to take pictures. We decided to go to JBR beach and loved it.

Like all the beaches there are jelly fish to be aware of - I would guess some times of year worse than others. All beaches are clean and nice. Recommended.
