Visiting our family, we decided to walk up the new bridge. As usual I was shooting pic’s of my grandkids, when suddenly a security guard started yelling that I was not allowed to take pictures on the bridge without permission from management. The guard pointed to where we should go to get the pass. Guard no 2 also pointed, but remembered that management had gone for the day. Come back tomorrow and you will get a pass, he promised.
As a professional photographer for more than 50 years I reacted strongly. strongly.
We could not believe that it is allowed to take pictures with a cellphone, but not with my Olympus. Now some higher ranking person ordered me to show him my camera.
This did not improve our experience with the management exactly.
We blame the management for what happened, and locals tell me that the guards risk their jobs, they seemed terrified. It leaves a sour taste and we will be sure to let others know.

Went here for the first time on Christmas Day in December 2020 and this place is an awesome getaway as it has shops, restaurants and a walk. The view is awesome and it’s portrayed as the entertainment capital of Dubai ! It’s an ideal place for the entire family and for all age groups. We went there in the afternoon and found the place was not crowded and it was a pleasure to walk leisurely and to appreciate the awesome view of the skyline and the boats floating. The weather was very pleasant and it was a an awesome experience.

They need to be considerate to the parking fee since it is rip off. Very bad place now a days. Imagine you are looking for a parking in 10 mins time and takes you forever to found, then you decided to go out since it has no parking space when you go out you will pay 20aed since you did not purchase 100aed in the area. Dude, you did not even have a chance to step out in your vehicle. So this place is not advisable to chill with.

The best way is to come by walking from JBR through the walking bridge to blue waters ; the views are beyond imagination.
We liked the morning views and the sea views while walking .
If you visit dubai you should come here...

It has been opened recently. The look of it is very sophisticated and everything seems so new . It is great for a walk and has many new restaurants to try. Moreover, it is still not overcrowded if you are looking for nice views .
The bridge to reach from JBR is amazing and opens perfect panorama of Blue Waters with JBR as well.
Great for tourists and residents ❤️

I personally like the place the water. Not my first visit and will be coming back. It is where the world's largest Observation Wheel is located and soon will be open to the public. There are restaurants where you can dine and the views are just terrific. The place is ideal for families with kids and also with friends.

I enjoyed a pleasant walk across the bridge from JBR. It wasn't very busy, which was good. The area is really just shops and restaurants and a boardwalk but it's ok for a walk around. The Eye isn't working, but you can get beneath it and it's pretty huge. All in all, it killed a couple of hours in the afternoon and I had a decent burger in London Slide.

Had visited this place with friends. A walking distance from JBR The Walk. Just crossing from the bridge is already beautiful and once you reach, it's like a magical land. There you can fins lots of couples, friends and families visiting the place.
Picture taking is nice during afternoon where the landscapes and the views are mostly visible.
At night, lights are bright and sparkling. Hope the shops and restaurants will be affordable once it opens so it could attract more tourists. There is also live singing when we visited.
Hoping to visit this place again once it's completed. This will indeed be another tourist attraction and a must visit place in Dubai.

Is there any entry fee?? Which is the nearest metro station??
Written November 28, 2019
There is no entry fee at all.
If you are going by car you need to find a parking place. There is underground parking. About 20 AED per hour.
I have no idea how to get there by metro as I'm always renting a car in Dubai.
