A short walk from Jumeirah Beach Park (which has closed the beach whilst they complete the Dubai Canal) there is a Corniche that allows you to walk or jog all the way to the Burj al Arab. This is along a public beach for which there is no charge. This walk / run passes Kite Beach where you can watch kite surfing and other water sports. There are spectacular sunsets and great views of Atlantis on the Palm and Burj al Arab.

This public beach is really amazing it has everything you can rent to play in the banana boat for 150 dhs per 15 minutes and many other games .. And there is also a game in the water were you play each 2 hours for 2 persons is 40 dhs .. There are many canteens ( food trucks like Find Salt "burgers" which became well known in the UAE , also the Ice cup and many others ) .. Toilets are near also there are showers there .. Its a public beach (mix) .. Parking is so near you .. You need to pay a visit there !

This long pristine stretch of white sand is super clean and has lots of activities, including kite surfing, soap football, beach tennis, beach volleyball and kayaking. There are showers, toilets and changing facilities, plus great views of the Burj Al Arab. It gets very busy on weekends.

I had already had a lesson with another company I found on the internet on the Kitebeach in Dubai and it was not a good one. The instructor on the first lesson just started me off with a full kite and hardly any methodology or safety tips and I was overwhelmed with just going straight to flying...Which meant crashing every other second and the instructor getting infuriated?

The beach also on the kitebeach is full of swimmers and sunbakers and most of Dubai so it is not a good place for starting off as there is no place to launch a kite, and it was intimidating to try and think about getting on a board in the water at a later date with so many swimmers, other kites and jet skis about..

I was recommended to try again at the Kitesurf club by a French friend who had a good experience with Xavier and his team as it was on a another beach behind the Sunset Mall (just up from kitebeach) which is less crowded by kites, swimmers and sunbakers and was very happy with the whole experience. I felt much more at ease with the proper induction program, safety tips and learning how to set up the kite and launch alone. They started me on a proper training kite to get the feel for the correct moves before I moved onto a full kite and board.

I also had the opportunity to try lots of different kite sizes and boards to enable me to see what suits me best and ended up buying a Naish Board and 12m kite which has been awesome for the Dubai wind.

I would highly recommend the experience to anyone wanting to learn to kite, it was professional, I was given proper theory, and Xavier and the other instructors were a fantastic bunch who were extremely friendly and approachable to learn from.

The views from the beach in the back drop were also awesome with Burj Khalifa behind you on one side and Burj Al Arab on the other side! Who could ask for a more perfect backdrop!

Kite Beach is well worth a visit. A great location in Dubai with plenty happening. You can come to kite Surf, or you could sunbathe, swim in the sea. There are plenty of beach sports nearby with a number of beach volleyball courts free for use. Another nice part of this area is the small cafe set up with Continental food, Italian, Mexican, health foods and ice creams available. You can sit out the eateries or take it with you. Many people around enjoying the time and a very pleasant place to visit for all the family.

Don't get me wrong, I love Dubai. but this makes me feel like I'm Berry/Veronica from Archie's Comics and their fun days at the beach. I mean, you have people playing rackets, food trucks, and great restaurants. This is probably the only 'public beach' with valet parking, but parking was not very difficult to find even on a Friday.

I hope they keep it like it is and they don't commercialize it like JBR.

We went there to see the Eid fire works. It was a nice and clean place with a promenade where people were taking evening walk with their families and pets. The sea water was still lukewarm though.

Visited the beach while waiting for my room to be ready since ridiculous check in time at 1500 even though we arrived at 7 am and by the time we reached hotel at 0800am.Our 2nd trip but were shocked to see as if we are not in the Middle East..at first I thought I was watching Bay watch !So many westerners and were seen wearing bathing suits and sexy outfits ,shorts ,tank tops ,bare back etc..I just wonder why their people are so particular with their own woman dress code covering from head to toe (abaya) but in actual fact that they are not as what you can see at the beach or their music video on the TV.So misleading and confused as a tourist to be at their beach or the country itself .Even when you walk around the hotel to the shopping Malls within the hotel vicinity ,I was shocked to see woman wearing shorts or inappropriate clothings.Either they live or work in Dubai or visitors .
Beach was beautiful and lovely .Windy and cold so you need a jacket .Soft sandy beach and a lot of coral shells at certain area so be careful !
Quite a number of food trucks and small cafe /restaurant .Price wise of course slightly expensive.

Great beach with water sports and a boardwalk. Umbrellas and chairs available for rental. Food on the board walk. When we went, there was some kind of festival happening with music and games. Nice beach to visit for everyone.

Kite beach is a great beach to visit! Kite beach offers great water sports opportunities and also enables a great tanning and swimming experience! If you love beach and water sports then this is definitely the place to go. Trampolines, volley ball, beach badminton... there are areas especially for it. There is also the popular stretch of path especially made for runners which spreads across the outskirts of the beach! Great idea and people definitely made use of it. Restaurants, cafes, juice bars and dessert shops are also near the beach. It's a great place for all ages if you're willing to catch the sun in a vibrant atmosphere!
