We came out of Al Jafiliya Station which is listed as the closest to Zabeel Park and the Frame building. First thing you realise is that there are no sign posts from the station. Eventually, we asked a policeman and began the walk. As you...More

I recommend to check the schedule of the open air markets. Ripe is a nice opportunity to eat some streetfood and spend time outside. The park offers great views of the Dubai Frame.

You could do as FastTrack said and share a 7 seater taxi from the airport to Madinat Jumeirah for an estimated cost of 80 dirhams. The other couple can take an separate taxi to JZS from there.

Zabeel saray Dubai (3 Replies)
Has anybody stopped in the deluxe family suite at the zabeel saray can you advise what the rooms are like and do they have a kettle (traveling with toddler) and a DVD player in the room. Looking to stop here for two weeks as jumeraih beach hotel (original choice)working out too expensive have a 14 year old and a 3 year old which constitutes 2 rooms.... Any comments much appreciated

It's cheaper because it is quite isolated - 20 minutes from the mainland by cab so every time you want to go anywhere you need to factor that in. There are no other restaurants or malls nearby for cheaper eating out. It is a beautiful hotel but I think I would go slowly mad there after 2 or 3 nights and definitely wouldn't want to be there for two weeks, especially with young children. Instead I would look at Royal Meridien A 2 bed apartment in Grosvenor House hotel The Westin ...More
Zabeel Saray - children in restaurants (1 Replies)
Hi, Can anyone tell me if there are any restrictions with children in restaurants at the Zabeel Saray - I have asked the hotel for a list of restaurants each with their policies but to no avail as yet and I need to book before we get there to get best availability according to friends. If someone is in the know, can they include the Voda Bar too as that looks like somewhere we will want to hang out... Many thanks.

I think you stayed at a Jumeirah hotel last year and the Zabeel Saray is not disimilar. Children can't go in Voda Bar because it's a bar with a minimum age of 21 but they can go in restaurants that serve alcohol. It really helps people to help you if we know the ages of the children - there's a world of difference between a 2 year old and a 15 year old.
