Peaceful place for prayer

Very peaceful atmosphere and adoration chapel is very nice. When we are inside that chapel, we can feel like we are near with jesus. Outside the mother mary garotte is also very good and giving the positive energy. I like that church atmosphere very much.

Great Place to Worship

I was a little surprised at the ecumenism in Dubai. I suppose I was comparing it to Saudi Arabia. This church was a wonderful place. I expected to see tourists like me, but it was full of locals, perhaps on work visas. The mass was in English. Everyone was nice. There was a small market outside and a grotto for our Mother.

This is a very revered place for the followers of Lord Christ in Dubai. The place is extremely lively during Christmas celebrations and even tourists from Europe come over here to offer prayers.
A must visit place in Dubai.

Proper Dress Code

Please don’t let people enter the holy Church with not wearing appropriate clothes and dress. It’s shows disrespect to our God. Others wearing shorts and miniskirt which is not Good to see inside the compound of our Gods Place. Please do action for this one. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

The largest Roman Catholic Parish in the World

Dubai has only two Catholic Churches with St Marys being the older of the two. First built in 1967, the original church was demolished and a larger one constructed on the same site in 1989 - i was in Dubai at the time. Today this church serves over 350,000 parishioners with Masses offered in over 12 languages to cater to its multinational followers. I remain an active parishioner since 1972 and it is amazing to see a little church become the largest Catholic parish in the world over the years.

Rude Secretary in Parish Office

The person named Susan from Parish Office, is rude and the way she talked it's like inquiry through telephone is not welcomed in the parish to think that she is working in the church and behavior is like that. She said she is the secretary and no respect with the caller.. i wish they could have training as frontliner of the church...

It's easy to see why this may well be the largest Roman Catholic parish in the world. It was filled to capacity 10 minutes before the start of Mass, with a large number of people standing along walls and near the side altars the entire time. If you want a seat, get there plenty early!! Ushers did their best to accommodate, but obviously this church was maxed out on what was a typical Friday morning service. What an incredible thing for a Catholic to see in a predominantly Muslim country! The church itself is not architectural much to see. We didn't spend much time at the adjacent Grotto in the courtyard area either, simply because the crowds were too heavy, and an announcement made to please not dally at the church, as the crowds for the next Mass were already pouring in. Take a taxi to get here, since the subway doesn't run on Fridays until 1 pm. Taxis are plentiful after Mass, a few steps away. My advice: Don't take the non-official taxis when drivers approach you after Mass -- stick to the official taxis.

Eucharistic per excellor in dubai,,, Roman Catholic Church!!! The same in the whole world. Pray with me... Jesus I Depend on You. I Have NO power of my own. When things are going well for me. I know that they have come from you, for I have no power of my own. In my trials I rely on you' In my temptations I trust in you. Metro stop for St Mary's Catholic Church

In search of how to get there from Deira City Centre, finally had to take a taxi. The first one we asked would have charged AED35 and another one took us only Aed23. Finally we came to know the metro stop was Oud Metha on green line. From the church walked a few metres away straight into metro.

Very beautiful church and the mass at 5.00 p.m Saturday was in English - solemn service with beautiful hymns. The next one at 6.15pm was to be in French. Proper dress code - no chewing nor sticking under bench.

With the church bells donated by the government of Dubai, and a mosque opposite this Church, it is an epitome of religious tolerance and a sign that humans can live peacefully regardless of the variety of their religion. It is one of the hallmarks of Dubai, making it a top tourist destination.
The Church itself is calm and unassuming. Serene, but not loud.
