20 Dirham entry fee high in comparison to other museums but assume it is all privately funded so necessary to be high. Interesting to see the clothing, jewellery, perfume, etc displays. Education for women has been quite recent since 1958 so a lot has been achieved in a short time. The art gallery upstairs was good too as showing female... More

I loved my visit there. I learned a lot and I felt like I could feel the power of the women that contributed to this vision.

The Women's Museum is a "hidden gem" in Dubai's cultural offerings. It is situated to the north of the gold souk in Deira, but not well sign posted (walking through the souk, turn left at 45 St, when you reach the road, turn right and take the third small road on the left, there is a small sign to the... After six years living in Dubai, we discovered a heartwarming experience by visiting The Women’s Museum were two young Emirati women, one an recently graduate and Intern and the other the Museum Coordinator provided a fabulous presentation of the Founders' "aims to discover UAE society through the lives of women past and present, by highlighting the various roles played by... I loved the whole idea of the museum the fact that there’s such creative cultural place in the middle of traditional area like old gold souq which was considered the heart of Dubai back then. This museum has brought back people to visit this place, it brought back history and cultural to be exhibited in a professional way. And also,... More

Tucked away by the Gold Souk is the Woman's Museum. The Museum tracks the progression of women in the UAE and how their lives have changed and their achievements. It also dispels a lot of incorrect myths. Harwa our guide made the tour very enjoyable and the Arabic breakfast introduced us to a lot of new dishes. Small but worth... More
