They picked us up from the hotel. Our tour guide was driving extremely fast which scared me. I felt the tour was extremely rushed. When we arrived to the grand mosque we only had 30 minutes, which felt like 15 minutes. If I could back I would spend at least an hour there. The tour company provided the shawl/scarfs. We pretty much drove through Abu Dhabi and our tour guide would inform us information about certain areas in Abu Dhabi. We went to Ferrari World for like 15 minutes just to take pictures, did not see the roller coaster in action. Like I mentioned before, I felt this tour was rushed and did not get to enjoy each location as mentioned.

Most airport hotels if you are staying the night, have a free shuttle service. Our's ran every half hour. Saved a cab fare as you can't walk there even if it says opposite terminal 3!!

This trip is a shambles! The pick up was relatively smooth and we got there in good time however, Communication is lacking and we waited 1 hour to leave at the end. The bus is crammed full and dirty. I would defo pay the money to get picked up and dropped of by a 4x4. The driver was also on his phone whilst driving for about 5 mins. Very dangerous. There is no order or organisation you literally get dropped off at the camp and fend for yourself.

First of all the driver was late, the tour operator did not answer when i have called them, even texted no reply. The trip did not include all the activities in the advert. We did not have sand skateboarding; no belly dance . Only one stop for taking pictures The car did not have air con; the driver was not so communicating with the customers, he was doing extremely unsafe driving, even had a flat tyre in the desert due to his way of driving, luckily i took sickness tablets 30mins before going to the desert. The drivers name was Malik- avoid him.

20 May 2018 Where to start - the guide was 1.1/2 hours late, was rude to the concierge, didn't introduce himself, provided no commentary on any of the sights we either flew by or stopped at, didn't bother to accompany us into the mosque or any other venue, didn't bother to inform us that as we had arm length blouses on that we wouldn't be allowed into the mosque or that if we went into another door we would be provided a gown, only allowed us 30 minutes to view the mosque although the tour stated 1 hour, was asleep when we came back into the car. His English was very poor but was very rude to me when I asked him a few times to repeat what he had said with can't you understand English and made derogatory hand signals!!! he was also rude to the other guests in the car (6 of us). He made us wait for him after lunch in the sun whilst he was talking to a friend - wouldn't unlock the car so that we could at least get in. Spent a lot of time texting on phone whilst driving at 120+ down the highways. Didn't want to stop or let us get out at the date market. He wouldn't stop at the vantage point for a photo of the Emirates palace he zoomed past and just drove around the roundabout where the front gates were. He was rude to the elderly other guests in the car and didn't bother to get out of the car to adjust the seats each time we got into the car. Overall he spoilt our day as all the other tours/companies we used for the week were wonderful, helpful and professional. I wouldn't use this company again. (didn't get his name but he had severe loss of pigmentation in his skin)

What an experience with Gateway tours UAE after a short bus ride out from Abu Dhabi we were met by a 4x4 and then the fun started. Dune bashing was exhilarating so much fun. Then on to camp for some Camel riding, sand surfing, quad biking and an amazing sunset. Food and drinks were good and it was great to sit on cushions around low tables. Then the belly dancing started great fun to watch and audience participation is encouraged. Henna painting and finally all of the lights are turned off and you all lay gazing at the stars. It is a taster of the desert don't expect hours on each activity but we thought it was well paced and great value for money a magical evening we will never forget.
