My son and I recently took the 22-minute tour with Pedro as our pilot. It was a blast and the best way to see the overall development of this amazing city.
They book out quickly, so book early and hopefully you have a clear day for flying.

I made last minute booking for 12 minutes helicopter tour since my seaplane tour was cancelled due to technical error. Booking confirmation was made through WhatsApp and they responded immediately. It was located inside police academy. It is recommended to be present nearly an hour before time slot. They will do safety briefing and take your weight to alot seats in the chopper. Few reviews said that view will not be clear for middle seat. But it has very wide window also oly 5 people per ride. one near pilot and four at rear side. Luckily I got free upgrade to 17 mins. You can see all the major attractions from the chopper and pilot informs you through headphone. Must note that during safety briefing they will inform you that you shouldn't carry a iPad or bigger tabs and camera with big lens. You can take mobile and camera with you, and keep the bag in safety locker. They will take pictures of you continuously from the moment the helicopter lands(so remember to pose 😀)..For return they will arrange taxi (but you have to pay) or they offer free shuttle service till entrance of police academy.

Seeing Dubai by Helicopter is a great experience, because some of the structures are really best seen from the sky. The palm islands only look like a palm from the sky, as to the world islands. You really get a feel for the scale of the city.
The staff are lovely but I did have to remove a star because our helicopter tour was cancelled due to bad weather (understandable) but we did not receive a phone call or email to let us know so we spent 120AED in a taxi there are back to only find out that it had been cancelled. We checked our email before leaving and had our phones switched on and they didn't tell us. They also did not offer to reimburse us for the lost money in taxi fare, which I would have thought was fair. Thankfully they managed to rebook us in for a suitable time the following day, which was appreciated but we wasted time and money on that first day travelling the distance to find it had already been cancelled.

Booked the 12 minute helicopter ride on Valentine's day. We had a 4:30 flight and they told us to arrive an hour early so we show up at 3:15. We asked if we could fly earlier and we were told no. The heli pad is located in the police academy, more on that later. Long story short we didnt fly till 5 p.m. They claim all flights were delayed but multiple groups who arrived after my wife and I flew before us. Once on the flight we didn't fly over the palm, we stayed on the outside of it on one side. Pilot said since they skydive over the palm he cant fly over it. Also didnt fly over the new world islands, or downtown by Burj, that is only part of the 25 minute tour they claim. So after we return we could not get a taxi or Uber because they aren't allowed in the police academy. HeliDubai drove us to the gate and directed us to walk toward the mall where we could get a taxi. What a joke. Save your money and go to google earth satellite images and see Dubai that way

I booked a heli tour of dubai for my wife's 30th birthday and paid via my credit card.
Upon returning to the UK we discovered the payment had been debited a total of 3 times, all for the same amount.
2 months on we are still waiting for the credit of the unauthorised payments even though we have been advised that the payment will be returned to us. Now we are not even getting responses to our messages or emails.
I would not recommend booking or if you do book at least do not pay by card 😡.

Good bits- the aircraft was really impressive, it looked brand new and was in immaculate condition. Dubai as a city lends itself nicely to aerial sightseeing Ground handling staff did their jobs well and with a smile. Pilot handled the aircraft smoothly.
Bad bits - our pilot seemed a little moody. He began our " introduction" by scolding a fellow passenger for " hollering" (his words) into the headset microphone. It was obvious that the gentleman did not know the headsets were equipped with hot mics, and we had received no briefing warning us about this before we entered the aircraft. This set the tone for the flight, there was very little commentary about the route or any information given. I have flown in helicopters many times, including pleasure flights with other operators, and would offer the opinion that the "pleasure" aspect of a pleasure flight comes from the interaction and enthusiasm of the staff for their work. May i suggest that our particular pilot takes a trip with Seawings or the Dubai Big Bus Company so that he can pick up some tips both on how to put his passengers at ease and how to deliver a running commentary for his paying customers.

Hi Gary - after years of excellent reviews, it is of great concern that I received your comments. I looked into the matter and spoke with the staff. We have changed the briefing to advise pax that the microphones are open. The pilot was asking for clearance approvals from air control, and other talking on the 'line' was interfering with his safety procedures. In the end, your comment assisted in the improvement of our services - which is waht we strive for. Thanks, Larry

I booked a helicopter tour as a gift for a member of my party’s 50th birthday, in mid February.
A few days ago I received an email saying that the tour was now canceled as the helipad was being used for a government event. Fair enough, I thought, these things happen.
I was also advised that to get a refund I had to complete a form and send it back to the company, rather than them just simply processing a refund as they had cancelled on me.
i was advised that a refund would take between 15-20 working days. I feel that this is not acceptable as firstly the trip is expensive, and secondly the company cancelled on me!
A few days later I received another email to say that there was a chance that now the helipad may be able to be used after all, and that they would let me know as soon as possible.
I asked how long it would be before they could confirm and was told it would be 6th Feb at the earliest - only one week before the scheduled flight!
I feel that the fact that I have been having to chase the refund, the amount of time to process it, along with the lack of clarity around the whole booking is wholly unacceptable.
I would definitely advise to look for alternative options rather than use this company.

I was truly excited to book with Helidubai for a helicopter ride over Dubai! The adventure sounded amazing! However, it was not the case:
1. They make you arrive one hour before your time to fly and tell you if you do not make it in time, they will cancel your reservation.
2. Once you arrive an hour early, they make you wait 20 minutes - they weigh each person in your party in front of everyone even though on the reservations you had already provided the information. They use the weight to decide where you sit on the helicopter. Yes, they decide where each person sits.
3. We did the 22 minutes booking ....the advertisement states you will fly over the palm-false - per the pilot, federal aviation rules , they are not allowed to go over the palm and must fly a certain distance away- we never saw the full view of the palm from the top...only the side view.....as far as seeing the "world" we only see two supposed continents ...it was hazy so we did not see the full burj khalifa from the helicopter ...I felt I saw better angels of it from the ground...
I've done helicopter and seaplane tours before...normally they show one side of the plane the sites and on the return back they show the same sites to the other side of the plane so both are able to see everything. This was not the case. We missed a lot of views. Plus, if you are stuck being a person in the middle of the back seat of the plane because you weigh less then the others ...you will not enjoy the ride as you will have to look over the person who is sitting next to the window who maybe taking pictures .
Also, they don't let you take pictures outside around the helicopter ...they tell you will have time after the flight...however, once you are off the plane...they rush you to a spot and have their photographer take pictures ..they don't let you take it on your own camera...then they try to make you buy the pictures which they do not sell for cheap...one for $25 or a usb for $50 ...the pictures did not even look professional as the photographer just snapped pictures of us getting off the plane and majority had our backs faced to the camera.
Overall, we felt like we got ripped off paying about $250 a person for 5 people

I didn't imaging the flight would be so spectacular! I took my mum to the 22 minutes tour. The best way to show somebody the city. Just amazing. We enjoyed from beginning 'til end. The crew is really polite and prepare. Absolutely recommended!

When we turned up at a portakabin I feared the worst but the staff were extremely welcoming and polite and made us comfortable. The briefing was to the point and efficient and were accommodated a s a family into the helicopter with choice of seat albeit we shared with one other. The equipment was in good shape and the pilot friendly and helpful with our questions interspersing with his commentary and ATC.
Photos were taken quickly and well and all in all including the transport back to taxi area was very smooth and well worked out procedure.
It heightened our appreciation of Dubai.
