Neighborhood: Downtown Dubai
You can’t fail to miss Dubai’s iconic Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building. It towers over the city and resides in the prestigious Downtown development. Once an old army base, Downtown is now the jewel in Dubai’s crown, a beautiful residential and leisure area housing not only the world’s tallest building, but the world’s largest fountains and mall. Wide marble sidewalks are perfect for strolling, with restaurants, art galleries and children’s play areas. Specially commissioned sculptures line the roads and Downtown is often used as a canvas for modern art displays and community events such as Classic Car Shows and National Day parades. In the cooler months, cross one of the many bridges to the Burj Khalifa park and enjoy a picnic alongside residents and visitors, or enjoy a lunch or dinner watch the dancing fountains. Because of its mixed use, Downtown is a fantastic place to mix with Dubai residents and locals and watch real life unfold in a cosmopolitan environment.

Our children's visit to Kidzania was long planned and was only accomplished recently. The place is a real fun for kids and a full day activity. The time it takes to get into the fun zone due to long cue should be taken into consideration while you plan your visit. In fact each of the activity is equally crowded and usually took kids a minimum half an hour to get going. All in all a day well spent as children were so excited to earn and save money to get something of their choice from the store out of their own hard earned money aka Kidzos.
However after all the hard work, children were disappointed to see that the items at the store were overly priced. In my opinion the prices are not tagged taking into consideration the one-timers who could earn a limited amount due to the time it takes for each job/activity. They somehow managed to pick items based on their earnings (with a strong heart). As soon as they reached home to unpack they realised the quality was really absurd and one of the toys couldn't even survive an hour. So my advise to all who visit is to least expect from the store and prepare your children mentally that they may not be able to cherish upon the earnings through a toy. Therefore best is to spend on services as this is what is probably expected.
All in all a very good experience but a sad ending for the kids !!

This place is incredible.. the interior and each section mesmerized me as it looks real..great place for kids to explore their favorite occupation
.clean and friendly environment they follow all precautionary measures during this COVID time
Children choose to play different roles of occupation for around 10 to 20 minutes each.
They can be dentist, cop, baker, pilot, scientists and many more.Make sure you know what your kids want to try the day before, because you won’t be able to try all the jobs in 1 visit.
In each section kids will be earning points and later they can Redeem points and select toys of their choice ..
Kids can refill their energy @mcdonalds with their happy meal..
Totally worth to visit
@kidzania thank you for having us
My kids had a blast 💥

Well after our Friday evening visit to Kidzania, I think its safe to say we won't be going back.
First I would like to say how amazing the staff are. They are all friendly, very polite, and great with the kids. How they put up with the amount of rude and obnoxious children I will never know... they deserve a medal!
The place was overcrowded (even without covid restrictions). Far too busy for rhe size of rhe place and ade it feel very claustrophobic.
Adults have to pay to enter, yet cannot get involved in any of the activities with the children (what a con). Not to mention once you have paid the expensive entry fee, there are activities such as drawing which is classes as a 'premium' activity and you have to pay extra extra do it, as well as the making your own pizza at Pizza Express which again is an additional cost.
I think the worst part of it all, is if you are wanting to be a Polic Officer, you are told to run round the place asking the adults to pull up their masks!!! Is there no break for these kids. Does Covid really have to come into a make believe town? Can't they have a night off? I found this VERY distasteful.
Not somewhere I will be looking to return to any time soon

The idea of KidZania where kids can learn many about adults job activities is great, but the application here is very poor. First, the ticket pricing is by far overrated, and it’s not inline with activities the kids practice inside. The place is clearly lacking the guidance, especially for those first time to visit (both kids-and their parents). Sounds are very noisy, in a matter it become scary for the little visitors. At the time all ages are welcomed, kids less than 6 years will have hard time there,so father have young kids, please don’t waste your time-and money. Also, I find there is no any means for the parents to pay this huge amount for tickets, while in practice, they don’t do any rather than keeps chasing their kids, it’s unfair ticking policy.
Last, the facility is clearly outdated, needs renovation. Management to try at least once the toilets there.

We only did a total of four experiences in a total of 3 hours because of all the waiting. My 8 and 5 year old were very patient, but my husband and I felt very sorry for them queuing so long. We missed a lot of the attractions within it because they were simply exhausted by the waiting. I really think they need to review how the experience flows and to ditch the concept of them earning money…this takes so much time putting every child's card through and the kids aren’t really bothered by it. In wouldn’t recommend kidzania, you will leave feeling ripped off and frustrated!

Truly awful experience. Avoid like the plague. Went with 2 year old and newborn baby.
2 year old was desperate to go to the fire station activity. We waiting over 30 minutes (feels like hours with a toddler) and the attending staff member called Sadith kept pointing to the sign saying ‘current wait time is 10 minutes’ outside whenever disgruntled parents asked how long. Finally got to our turn and she wouldn’t let us inside because we didn’t have a wristband (unknown to us we needed one. Due to age of child apparently someone from the ‘baby’ area needed to accompany us which of course they never told us. Waited for said person to arrive after Sadith did nothing at all to inform us of this just slammed door in my face and husband had to go to baby area and enquire.
Finally got in and Sadith GRABBED my son’s arm to stop him going down the slide after I said I didn’t think it was fair that he wouldn’t get a turn on the fire hose (due to her letting in and extra child) and given what we had been through and how upset he already was didn’t think not letting him have a turn was fair. Needless to say I was deeply upset and asked to speak to the manager which of course nobody was willing to go and find.
Also, had to pay full price for newborn baby which was weird as she obviously didn’t use any of the equipment and was asleep the whole time.
This is a hell hole. Avoid, go to soft play instead!

I’ve visited Kidzania in Dubai over the years and this visit was by far my worst.
Upon payment of our tickets the lady warned us that there was a school trip inside the venue. I accepted this thinking no more of it- expecting an organised school trip as we have in England.
Sadly this was not the case- the children were rude, pushing, running and laughing in the face of staff who attempted to control their behaviour and manners.
A teacher was nowhere in sight as these children ran around doing exactly as they pleased. They ran at dangerous speeds nearly knocking over very small children.
Staff working at Kidzania clearly do not have the training to deal with these kind of situations nor the patience.
In fact most of the Kidzania staff do not seem to even like children.
Staffs lack of direction causes confusion for children and families.
My child’s education must be far superior as he behaved impeccably using his manners where appropriate as did other children not with the school group.
I run a nursery here in the UK and my children are aged between 4 months- 4 years. When we take them out I am proud of them.
This was an accident waiting to happen.
These unruly children ruined my sons experience of Kidzania and we will never return if we come back to Dubai.
The wait times are far too long for each activity and we did not come at a busy peak time.
Such a shame as the Kidzania concept is such a good one!

Kidzania is an amazing place, it really is. But i cant help but feel that it could have been even better if it was just managed properly.
They have allowed it to become overcrowded (greed presumably). I'm not sure what their capacity limits are but whatever they are they should be reduced.
What should be a magical and fun experience for children turns in to a serous amount of time just waiting in line. Way too much of it. For example, we waited almost 40 mins for our girls to go on the fire engine.
The behaviour and manners of some kids too can be pretty appalling in terms of being pushy and skipping queues (some parents too). Unfortunately, there's no policing of this. Frustration at the wait-times probably gets the better of everyone, to be fair. The staff that are there do well to keep their composure at times, especially with some of the locals who have absolutely no comprehension of being patient and abiding by the general rules of waiting in line.
Young kids are so excited to be there yet are constantly having to wait at the more sought after attractions.
On a positive note, some of the various activities are brilliant and the kids got such a kick out of doing things like making their own pizza, being policepersons or firepersons, working as vets or in the hospital, etc. Its a brilliantly thought-out place, but please reduce your permitted capacity at any one time. Its not fair on the children, especially the smaller ones.

I would like to thank Lourdes and the team for their excellent customer service over the phone. They were very understanding, accommodating , they made sure that I was being attend to and tried their best to solve my little issue.
They send 2 emails to the floor manager at the counter to get back to me. However, the manager was so rude, didn’t pay attention. As I calmly explained my LITTLE issue. She explicitly mentioned that “ We are very busy here at the front/cashier” “I cannot handle this right now” “what else do you want” “bye bye”. The way she handle the conversation was so unprofessional and to consider that I’m also a customer.
Nevertheless, we had an amazing day at Kidzania but there is alot to improve on how to handle their customers properly.

It was taken on 7th August 2018, how do I get these pictures?

Depends on the activity. It ranges between 5 and 15 kidzos and if you buy the kidzania passport you get an extra 2 kidzos per activity..

I’m planning on taking my son he’s 4 and a half. What activities should I aim for so I wouldn’t waist time?
I have been to kidzania a few times with my nieces and nephew but last time was 2012. I am terribly sorry for all the people who had bad experiences specially with the mean, rude and unenthusiastic Staff.
I never experienced this in my visits all staff were happy and cheerful and helpful I wonder what happens between the year 2012 and now.
Management please find out what is bothering the Staff. Are there activities that would be closed on on the first week of April. Entrance is not cheap we are 5 adults accompanying 6 children ages from 2 to 12.
I would rather not come if there would be activities out of service or the staff are still to proud to treat customers with respect.

Depends on what you kid is interested. Guess would be fire station, Pizza Center, car race and cookie making. My daughter had great time there.
