Great souk but you can tell it's not authentic with the many high st shops. The decor is excellent in its image of creating a souk appearance. Lovely views from the many coffee shops and restaurants.

I wished that we had arrived earlier in order to full experience the souk as we had booked a table and were dining. The was some difficulty getting through the traffic and getting dropped off which annoyingly left us with little time but it is a delight to see as it is authentic and full of wonderful things. Lots of... More

We went to the Madindat Souk and found it to be a lovely place and amazing to think it is part of a hotel ! There are lots of stalls and curios to visit and see. The only thing is that it is far more expensive than normal Souks, which is understandable as it probably has higher rents to pay.... More

This is by far one of the nicest Dubai experiences with something for everyone. Definitely best to go at night for both a busier and better vibe and to beat the heat. Here you can take an abra boat ride along the water canals connecting the various luxury hotels and see the beautiful colour changing lights of the Burj el... More

This is an authentic looking recreation of an old souk which has the added benefit of air conditioning and free toilets. It's extremely picturesque and sells some lovely artefacts, plus the ubiquitous lovely scarves, often sold as 'genuine' but which can be found all over the planet. If you visit during Ramadan, there's a Costa outside which is open for... More

Before going for dinner at a nearby hotel we decided to take a look in the souk. I was surprised that it included chain stores - I expected it to be like a sort of market! You had to go outside at times to access the other parts of the souk. It is fully air conditioned inside so you could... More
