We went there just to see Atlantis Hotel. We read that this is only public transportation available to visit island. This monorail is not operated by RTA, transportation authority of Dubai. it is privately operated. If you are using metro then get down at Damac...More

Not sure why so many negative reviews. This is not for those who are looking for value for money!! You already know what you are getting into. This monorail is not operated by RTA so obviously the ticket prices are higher. It is, however, the best...More

We took a tram from DAMAC properties metro station (the tram station is Dubai Marina) and alighted at Palm Jumeirah tram station. From there we followed directions to the monorail which was really convenient. Instead of accessing the overpass by climbing the stairs, we took...More

Try to be in front to take a great picture of Atlantis Hotel. It's a little bit far from Tram Station and acces is inside a Parking, follow the arrows and you will be there. Dubai Nol Red is not valid for Monorail.

We used the monorail after a day at the Atlantis waterpark to get back to the tram and then metro system, it wasn't particularly cheap, but was a lot more convenient than the long wait for taxis which was the only alternative. It runs form...More

This is a total waste of money, it takes you to Atlantis, with no access to Atlantis beach or anywhere Only u can go to the promenade, which is a nice drive by car/taxi Literal waste of money AVOID

When you travel by road on this island, you wont be able to see the view properly. Monorail is the best option for those who want to take a better view of Palm islands incl. Atlantis at a reasonable rate. Short trip of few mins,...More

The first mono rail starts at 9am to Palm Atlantis. There is quite a walk from the Palm Jumeirah Tram Station thru a very large multi level car park. I thought the return fare of 30AED was expensive although the views are very good of...More

This a very modern tram that moves based on time based on their schedule. Every 20 minutes one is moving. For sure you are able to get there at your time because they are working till 22pm.

Palm Jumeirah monorail or taxi (2 Replies)
Hi, request you to please help me clearing my query. Can we get down from monorail, roam around for an hour or two and return on monorail with return ticket of 25AED? Or we can just ride from gateway station to other end of Atlantis and return to gateway station without getting down from monorail? Is that return ticket valid for whole day or limited to some hours? Initially I was thinking of one way monorail and taxi on returning after roaming around, however as on review, "no cream...More

To be honest I'd just get a taxi from Internet city metro station to Atlantis and a taxi back - it will cost less and take less time. There are taxis available at Atlantis, you may have to queue and the queue can be long especially on Thursday or Friday nights but there are taxis. I guess it's your choice as to whether you buy a single or return ticket on the monorail if you really want to do it. You can go in the lobby of Atlantis hotel, not sure that will take an hour and there is a...More

Palm Jumeirah Monorail (7 Replies)
Just returned from staying on the Palm and so decided to have a ride on the monorail from the Atlantis station. It's bizarre. Don't get me wrong, I would love to see Dubai bounce back and for all these outlandish investments to work but for me this really does reflect it's troubles. There were more staff at the Atlantis station than passengers and consequently the level of personal attention was phenomenal but hardly cost effective. It doesn't really go anywhere although you do get a...More

It's more an investment in the future. The monorail will eventually connect into the metro and I am sure someone will come forward to complete the developments on the trunk. I think when this happens more people will use it and prices will come in line with the metro. The metro only opened last year and is very much in its infancy, the infrastructure will develop around it and more routes/stations will open. Many people are already using it and find it excellent value for money - even...More
