I really enjoyed the place !!
It was soooo curious to see....
Nice visit if you are looking for a free attraction In the desert.
40 minutes drive from Dubaï, fully accessible by car. No need any 4*4.

A great place for photo shoots. The wind is strong so the sand will cover you but worth the visit. Be careful with the car since a 4x4 is advised. However if you park further than its safe for a 2x2.

The ghost town at Al Madam is a very Erie place. A town given over to the blowing shifting sands of the desert.
Why has this town been abandoned? I’m not really sure. It’s a small town with a road through the middle, houses either side and a mosque at one end of the street.
It’s a very strange haunting experience as it looks like the residents just left overnight. To the extent that in one house there are the remains of a bed and a dresser unit.
It’s easy to get to by 4x4 but due to drifting sands for a two wheel drive you can get close then walk the last approx 500mtr.
It’s worth exploring as it begs the question, why? What happened.

Al Madam village is where the desert meets civilization. It’s fascinating to see how sand can take over the buildings.
I would like to hear the story behind this place as it’s not clear how it got to this stage. Maybe going with a guided tour could help with this.

A half-buried ghost town near Dubai is attracting explorers from across the world — but no one knows why it was abandoned

Amazing morning trip from Dubai to Sharja to visit this abandoned village
We left Dubai at 5.15 and we reached al madam at 6
Despite the summer the temperature was nice and allowed us to go around the buildings, taking photos and really enjoy the visit. Noone was there
A lot of camel arrived and it made the trip even nicer

4x4 is required or you will end walking for a long distance in the middle of the sand

Our driver and car was provided from a touristic agency called "TOURMEON TRAVEL"
the best I tried so far in UAE
