Went to the point on Christmas Day with my two boys all excited to see the fountains, first the traffic to get there was horrendous due to the one way system. Once we got there we found the place and waited for the 6.30pm showing, everyone was waiting with phones at the ready. We waited for 15minutes before my husband asked a man working there what was the hold up, he was informed that the fountain shows were cancelled due to the windy weather. There were no announcements made everyone else continued to wait. We then visited a coffee shop, which if the fountains were working I realised all the shops and restaurants would have a good view.

It offers a breath-taking view of Atlantis to begin with. There is a small beach with a view of Atlantis on the other side of the water body from where a mono rails connects it to other parts of the city. A shopping arcade and an array of fine restaurants line the complex. A long promenade runs along the shops & cafes allowing people of all ages to walk, stroll, jog, cycle or basically do whatever they want to. Beautiful architecture, fantastic eye-catching designs define this lovely hub.

Its a great place for a short trip. Recently they have made the parking chargeable but can be made free only for 1st three hours in case you spend over AED 100. That means if you watch a movie, have dinner and watch the fountain show after that, you will end up paying AED 30 on a minimum. #nakheel I did nit really get that as they don't want people to spend touch time there. I am not sure if the tenants of the place would like that or not but I did not like it certainly.

This open air mostly dining and some shopping area is located at the end of the trunk, the road to it is on the right side of the street before going down the tunnel that leads to Atlantis. No need to worry about the confusing signs all the way till there.
Parking is underground, payable at 20 for the first hour then 10/h, zeroed if spending more than 100 in shopping or dining, but make sure your paper token is stamped.
The beautiful part is that all dining is al fresco (there is indoors section in each eatery), and the restaurants are in raw facing the water (mini bay area on both sides). These restaurants are on 2 floors, with the edge upstairs being glassy for unobstructed view of the water, the dancing fountain and the Atlantis.
If you're looking for dining with a view, you got it here. Don't miss the action.
There is a long wide strip to stroll on between the restaurants and the railing by the water edge.
Behind the waterfront restaurants, there are many stores and few restaurants, among which is McDonald's.

This appears to be an up and coming location, and only accessible via car/taxi as the monorail isn’t open yet. Various shops and restaurants of all nationalities. There is the largest light and fountain display on offer, commences daily from sunset every hour after.
There are also small kiddies rides here. Of particular note is the photo opportunity to get the Pointe sign, with Atlantis and monorail at sunset.
The beach even has large bean bags for use at no charge.
Will be more reachable when the Monorail Station opens later this year (2022).

We were in Dubai from November 21 to November 27 and stopped at The Pointe to see the light show just on our way from Nakheel Mall (The View at the Palm Observatory). This was unplanned only until we saw an advertisement about the light show happening at The Palm.
Once we got there, around sunset (5:30PM), if you're coming from the monorail, it does involve going down a few floors to head to the pier side.
There are plenty of restaurants and generally places to sit and relax before the light show. Luckily at the time we came, it was not so crowded. Around 6PM, the light show commenced and there were plenty of amazing colors to go by and some music.
I recommend this place if you are interested in seeing the light show or generally hanging out at the pier.
I guess the rule of thumb in Dubai is any light show you want to see (whether it's at the Dubai Fountain or Burj Khalifa and so on), it happens every 30 minutes (top of the hour, like for example 9PM, and bottom of the hour, for example 9:30PM).

Can’t believe that after spent a lot of money in one of the restaurants, walk like a dog under the sun as there is not available shade or climatizad areas, we have to pay AED 30 for the parking even after having a validated parking ticket with 3 free hours. Ridiculous charging people for the parking when the place is literally EMPTY. Advisable to spend your money somewhere else.

The place was quite packed on a weekday. You can walk around the board walk and there is a 2 minute water fountain show that repeats every half an hour. The show is very short and the accompanying music is terrible. I would not recommend visiting this place just for the water fountain unless if you plan on eating at a restaurant. I was disappointed that there are no local cafes here other than a Starbucks. In general, this is a nice hangout place if you are having lunch or dinner.

The Pointe offers fantastic views across the water to The Atlantis and lots of great food and beverage options, including a recently opened food hall concept called Social District which houses a number of excellent restaurants.
There is a spectacular musical fountain show, which runs every 30 minutes in the evening.
Well worth a visit, particularly in winter.

This is a very nice spot for an evening fountain walk in the palm. Set with the backdrop of Atlantis, it's a good spot to spend evenings. Lots of restaurants on the fountain front and you can have your dinner by seaside looking at the fountain shows. They are every half hour from sunset until 22:00 and lasts for 5 minutes. Some activities for kids are available as well.

Place itself is still open, many restaurants and cafes operate everyday. But the monorail station “the Pointe” is out of service, not sure when they open it again

Fountains are not officially launched at the moment, it's most probably to be launched by August or September,
They do trials on some days, so if your lucky, you might get to see to see it, but as of now, there is no official timings.
