I booked the sunset Dubai Ain experience today for me, my sister and my elder mother for 5pm sunset experience. As the email stated, I arrived one hour in advance at 4pm.

The experience we had was very poor, despite being on time and having pre paid for our tickets we were asked to queue up. As it neared 5pm and there was a long queue ahead I spoke to security to say that it was almost 5pm and I had paid for a more expensive ticket for 5pm sunset viewing and we were told to continue queuing and that it was not their problem. I noted several other customers who had tickets also complain. Much to my surprise, the customers who were arguing with security were admitted after security realised they would not stop complaining. (These were not VIP bookings or the private cabin bookings as I heard them tell security they had the same tickets as us). Security allowed at least 30 customers queue jump who had sunset tickets which was unfair.

We ended up queuing for almost 2.5 hours before we were let on the wheel, I can understand half an hour queue or even an hour but this wait time was ridiculous. There was no seating and the wait was extremely tiring especially for my mother. We missed the sunset view and by the time we got on the ain, we were so tired from standing and waiting all that time that it ruined the entire experience.

I emailed the team regarding my experience but didn’t receive a response.

Bought two tickets for a friend's birthday so paid extra for the sunset slot (5pm). Got there 60 mins beforehand as stated on the ticket. Security man told us to come back at 4.30pm for the 5pm slot and that we did. Got in, and started queuing. We were still in the queue at 5pm and we could see the reflection of the sunset in the buildings. 6.30pm, still in the queue and still waiting to go through security. Asked a lady working there how much longer it would take... "another 1.5 hours, we have VIP'S on board and we have over booked". Left the queue and requested our money back. Very badly organised

The wheel is very impressive. Huge. Massive. Compared to this, London is a dinky toy. The view of Dubai is very good. We took the package with the 2 glasses of wine option.
Disappointed that the wine came in a plastic cup...but most disappointed that the quality of the wine was terrible. Why spoil this experience by serving the lowest quality of wine one can find? We paid so much to entertain our friends and then we got shamed by the cheap low quality wine they served.

Opening night 21-10-21
Waited 2 and half hours to board the wheel that we paid premium amount to ride on the opening night. No one told us that the wheel had broke due to the sensors being activated because of the fireworks.
No one said anything we were all just left to wait and wait and then wait some more.
Whole thing was a shambles and no compensation offered, then when we finally got to go on the air con went off at the top and the capsule became very warm not a pleasant experience!!
my suggestion would be to visit when the hype dies down and they can fix their issues if you want to see the view.

For many years we wanted to see "Ain Dubai", right from 2018 when theoretically it had to be opened. Large, no doubt 250 m in diameter, interesting, with a movement so smooth as not to feel any discomfort ... but ... the control was more like an airplane. We had to leave the water at the entrance and ... not only the water but also the lighters. I asked why the lighters were not on our planes, but, as usual, who to talk to. Beyond the "border", both air and water are more expensive, a 500 ml water is 8 AED!

Very average experience. The concept is nice, the view from the capsules are breathtaking. I would recommend trying it for once but i would not intend to visit again. The movement is extremely slow as the wheel will stop to fill all capsules with passengers during the whole round. The trip lasts for 38 minutes which is only one round.
The experience would have been more exiting if the wheel goes a bit faster.
You cannot get any food with you to push you to purchase from the small shop before the entrance that is extremely expensive with no major choices. At the end of the ride there is a nice souvenir shop. Capsules are cleaned before we move to it after the previous group but you can be in a capsule with people you dont know. Capsule capacity 20 persons. Best time is around 5pm to capture the sunset.

Worth it! At least once in your life do this if visiting Dubai.
The views are gorgeous.
Tip: Buying ticket directly at the shop is the same price AND way smaller queue when compared to online booking. The line was huge for pre-booked ones, and when we bought in site we were directly in front queue.

We booked the attraction well in advance, but despite this still had to queue for an hour from 8pm for our 9pm booking time- mixed in the same queue with people who hadn’t made bookings- the process needs changing to allow for a shorter queuing time for bookings. Bear this in mind when visiting too. Despite this the attraction was fantastic with amazing views over Bluewaters, JBR and the Palm- we even managed to catch the beach drone show at 9.30 which was a great surprise.

Tried to visit sky wheel during the last week of January, but they said its closed due to technical issues and we should come back in two-three hours. Waited in nearby restaurant and after couple of hours got told it will take several hours more and we should come back later or tomorrow. We had another plans for the evening and were leaving back to home next morning, so they gave paper that had contact and info details for refund. We wrote detailed email for the refund on the same evening and they didnt believe we were travelling back next morning so they requested copies of flight tickets and boarding passes.

Promised to do refund within 14-21days but they havent done it and they stopped answering emails. We contacted our credit card company that is handling the issue now but they require screenshots of email conversations etc so this is pain in the ass and 5weeks has gone already!

Highly NOT RECOMMENDED to pay tickets in advance!! If the wheel is not working and you are not able to wait / come other day just DON’T DO IT!

one must visit this new attraction in Bluewater island(artificial)
the trip is 40 mins plus entry time, good idea to book online to avoid queues.
sunset is an excellent time to see the lights of the palm and marina coming on.
definitely walk back over the bridge to the BEACH for great photos and selfies.
nice street food confectionaries, especially for children.
one can make a picnic out of it
