I was also conned for AED 325 in a similar situation yesterday. And frankly not happy with Dubai Police. But last night I sat and did my research. These category crimes are actually not handled by Dubai Police! There is a dedicated institute for this. Please note it's details below, I also have done the same: You can send an email (complain) at: consumerrights@dubaided.gov.ae OR Go to their website: https://consumerrights.ae/ And launch a complain against the shop keeper their. Through this action all the gang members will be brought to justice. In my case the shady shop keeper who sold me the herbs shop's name was: "Marhaba Herbs Trading" This shop is around the same location as your case (in Meena Bazar or close to it) I don't care of my money now but I want this act to be prevented! Everyday these fraudsters roam in the streets targeting innocent people. And believe me you only see two or one guy, in actual there is a whole gang! They will randomly talk to some person in the market for directions, he will also be the gang member. I mean correct me if I'm wrong how many times you stop some random person and give him weird names like: Beech Baal, Naqra, Marveet from Egypt, Blackseed Oil, Garlic Oil and he points straight to the shop! I had an experience to ask even straight questions and most of them seem to not know the directions etc. So this gentlemen is a whole organized gang. And Dubai Authorities should crack them down to stop further mistakes like mine.

The staff in meena bazar branch is very very rude! They really don’t know how to talk to customers and the manager has no manners at all. I’m a lady and he was yelling and talking back at me, this is no way to treat a lady or any customer in that manner. I’ve had a very bad experience and would not recommend going to the meena bazar branch AT ALL. I purchased a heavy diamond necklace from them along with a baby earrings set (which was a gift) at the time of purchasing they assured that we can exchange the pair or earrings if required and that it had no making charges but when I went to exchange they were not ready to accept it back without adding the making charges which in the first place as not applicable. Their service was absolutely horrible. I wouldn’t mind paying a bit extra for the exchange of the pair of earrings but the way the staff spoke and treated me was absolutely humiliating and I felt harassed. REALLY REALLY UPSET WITH JOYALUKKAS’ AFTER SALES SERVICE AND ESPECIALLY THE STAFF!

We went as advised with arms and legs covered , we could see why a lady in long shorts were been called sexy ect. The fabric I wanted to buy was of poor quality and I looked in the many shops. It was clean and lots of stores.

Came across Meena Bazaar with my daughter when showing her around Dubai Creek. Like other people as soon as we walked into the area we were approached by a couple of guys wanting to sell me hair restorer...how we laughed...I’m bald and 60 plus so no chance. We browsed a couple of shops to try and get my granddaughters some summer clothes but got hassled so much it wasn’t worth it. However, as we were about to leave we found a shop that let us browse with no pressure and we did buy some clothes. It’s a real shame p because I loved the area with all the Indian influence. These guys just don’t get it, leave us alone and we will spend money!!!!!
