    The 2021 Waterfront review
Seafood Market. It's been 2 years since I came back here and I would say that the cleanliness stayed the same. I always compared it to an airport but with seafood stalls around it. Price. It is really convenient to shop along the area, a perfect tip should be you know how to haggle with the price or add more extra with the seafood you wanted. We bought a kilo of prawns and crabs for almost 100 dirhams (5 pax) Inside the area. I was surprised that It looks like a shopping mall already. You can shop for fresh seafood while having your grocery and some stuff you wanted.

    Fresh Seafood 🦞
a seafood paradise for sea food lovers. When buying sea food from the supermarkets in UAE could be considered expensive, @wfm.uae is the place to go. Though it's quite far, but it's all worth it. Well maintained market, that's kept very clean offers a wide range of seafood which are quite fresh and at very reasonable price (considering you have great bargaining skills) There are live catches which are on the expensive side, also a section that has dry sea food only. Apart from this there's poultry, fruits and vegetables market too, also let's not forget @luluhypermarkets 😌 And the experience doesn't just stop here, coz there's more to this... there are restaurants that cooks your purchased seafood, and serves at your table.

Deira Waterfront market So I have been to this place a couple of times and it is quiet a lovely market to go to. Firstly , it is in door. Secondly , you can get your Vegetables, Fish, Meat under one roof and at rather reasonable prices. Trick is go around all the vendors at first and start comparing prices. Just so you would have a feel of the price ranges. 🥩 is at half price. I got my Australian 🪔 lamp chops at 35/40 Dhms a kilo. Same exact cut that I pay 70/80. Nice thing is you have under one roof the option of having 10-15 butchers under the same roof. 🐠 🦐 🦑 Same thing exactly , all half priced with over 40 vendors , ask all around first , I was going to buy some king fish for 30 Dhms per kilo to find that all around it is 20. 🍉 🍎 🍌 🍅 🌶🌽 , Best prices ever so for example O bought my fav yellow apples for 6 per kilo @Carrefour 15 Cherry 🍒 tomatoes are 2kg 15 Dhms 😊 I will list some of the prices here which we got in the market blueburry 125 g 7aed strawberry 250 g 4 aed pomegranate 4 kg mango 15 aed per kg green apple 6 per kg red apple 6 per kg mandarin 5 per kg banana 4 per kg cherry 20 per 1/2 kg wter melon 3 per kg lychee 25 aed per kg grapes australian 15 cucumber 2per kg carrot 4 per kg tomato 4 per kg lemon seedless 6per kg green pepper 6 aed kg Cherry tomatoes range 12-15 per box 2kg egg plant 1 kg 5 ice burg 1 pcs 7 aed sweet photato 1 k 5aed ginger 1 kg 8 aed

This place is a ripoff. First, when you arrive, you will be beset upon by "cart pushers" who insist on helping you. They will then lead you to specific vendors (who I assume pay the cart pushers to bring in customers) where they will immediately high pressure you into buying whatever their product is. We purchased a kilo of mussels, two crabs, eight scallops, and four prawns. The bill was equivalent to $138. No prices posted. The cart pusher then lead us to the Yahya restaurant where they cooked our seafood for a reasonable price, and they cooked it very well. It was excellently prepared. I cannot complain about the quality of the seafood as it was excellent. The cart pusher waited for us to eat, which took over an hour, and then took us to a specific fruit and vegetable vendor. Again, no posted prices and high pressure sales. We purchased some fruit and veggies, which were average in quality, paid the exorbitant bill, and headed to a taxi, at which time the cart pusher demanded 150 AED (about $43) for pushing the cart around! I paid him just to get out of this nightmare of a market.

If you go, avoid the cart pushers. They are totally unnecessary. Negotiate with multiple vendors for the best price. Shop with whichever vendor you want to, not who the cart pushers lead you to. The seafood was fresh and good quality, but more expensive than the grocery stores. I doubt we will go back (we are here for a month).

This was the 2nd time I visited this Fish market and enjoyed buying fresh fish, getting them cleaned there, getting prepared in the restaurant there and enjoying them in the restaurant itslef!
We bought so many varieties of fish incl. Jumbo Prawns of 6kg for 4 adults! Restaurant prepared for us delicously and served them with rice, bread, hommos, etc. There were so many left over after eating so much! They were so delicious and would love to go again!
Can remmend this Fish Market to anyone!

Did a late night visit with my wife following the advice of friends for buying fresh fruits and veggies as well as fish. Most of the items were indeed cheaper marginally vs. your standard supermarket however what I stayed them 3 for was the intentional lack of price tags, so everything is left to your haggling. If you're up to it, this is your place. Also at the fish market, the smell was awful fishy, my wife came here before once and it was much cleaner and packed the stench.

This was an unexpected gem.

The market was buzzing with life on Saturday morning when I went and included a huge indoor fish and meat market as well as lots of fresh produce. Prices are far cheaper than in central Dubai.

There is also a large Lulu Hypermarket and lots of food and beverage outlets.

Worth a drive out or a walk from Gold Souk metro station.

Great market with fish, meat, spice, fruit, and veg in separate areas under one roof. There is also a Lulu's supermarket.

Price-wise, I thought the meat and F&V were marginally cheaper and comparable to most supermarkets in Dubai. Didn't see the fish prices as was closed. Make sure you get your timings right for the fish market.

Overall I thought the place looked good, hygienic and of reasonable value. There are restaurants outside which appeared ok, but seem to be open mainly in the evenings and not for lunch.

Worth the trip for locals and tourists alike.

The idea is great and I hope this will get attention from someone with quality in mind first. The fish market smells so bad it is hard not to feel sick from it. Many of the stalls do not have fresh fish but they sell the fish as fresh and newly caught. All staff are local or Indian so expect not to be let alone.. prices given are not honest, so bargain the best you know or know your prices.
Be aware they will charge for cleaning the fish, and quite a lot.
All in all - I cannot recommend going, it’s a waste of time and not a good experience.

The market is authentic. The boats bring the fish straight there and in the back room can be seen the wholesale auction of the catch. in tha center are the stalls. Being a tourist the best part that there is a resturant that cooks the fish you buy. Also there is a beutful fruit, meat and drygoods market in the complex.

Well it's worth a visit for sure if you have time to spare in Dubai. Parking available, there is a Lulu hypermarket in the vicinity. There small shops reminding one of old Dubai souks. Pretty serene on the waterfront area, ideal for pics too.
The sea food bought seems a tad expensive so be willing to bargain a bit for a good price. Have a nice visit.

Enjoyed so much of buying lots of fresh fish & enjoyed having them there itself!! I was amazed to see this new, massive Waterfront Fish Market, that incl. enormous amount of Fresh Fish Handlers, along with Vegetables & Fruits Handlers on adjacent sections. This was not the same when I used to work in Dubai 13 yrs. ago!
I was with some of my family members, we bought 5-6 kinds of fresh fish incl. Salmon, Jumbo Prawns, and few others fish, almost 5 kgs. Then we handed them over to another big department to clean them, and then handed them over to one of the restaurants located there itself to prepare them. We did not give instructions on how to prepare them, but they did all the way needed and served them with Arabic Bread, Salad and Hommos. They were the best! Never forget to go there again during every other trips to Dubai.

The market is a giant and loud melting pot. It's all new and clean. You'll buy any fish or seafood you can imagine. There's also a fish cleaning department with electronic que (sic!). And yes there's Yahya restaurant where they can cook anything you'll buy. Massive underground parking included. You'll smell fish 100 meters before you enter parking. BTW it's not only fish market. There's also same huge fruits and vegetables market plus spices dept.
