We've just been on an adventure in the Musandam with Absolute Adventure leading the expedition. The plan was 4 or so days walking and camping in the area. Everything that could be sent by the weather to challenge the team then occurred. Biblical quantities of rain fell - the wadis became too dangerous to walk in - even the boat we were on for one night was inundated with water... and through it all the amazing AA team just kept adapting, coming up with a new plan, ensuring everyone on the expedition was safe and comfortable, feeding us with hot food, and through it all maintained their sense of humour and good spirits. They were all amazing. You only really know the quality of a company and its people when things go wrong or are tough - and AA shone through on every level and in everyone of its people. They more than went the extra mile. Thank you. I cannot recommend them sufficiently highly. Our team was overseen by Paul the owner who knows everything there is to know in the area; the two Tom's who were with us on the walks, and Brogan, Matt, and Dirk in support through everything. Great job and great team...

I went on ~320km bike ride with Absolute Adventure (The Twenty4:7 -- 24h x 7Emirates) across the Seven Emirates. The level of preparation and care for details was very impressive. Also everyone in the group was absolutely taken care of. Organizers carefully reviewed riders' abilities and separated into compatible groups, assigning experienced riders to lead each group. We also got extensive advise, preparations, and training prior to the main event. On the day it took from 3:30AM start to shortly after 7PM finish with over 300km covered. If you're considering taking part, make sure to take all the preparations and advice seriously. It is NOT a beginner's event :)

I did Smugglers Bay with Ruth and Eamon. I really wanted to hike the Musandam, but at first saw no open hikes for the time when I was in the UAE. Paul was very accommodating when I asked if I could hike with them, and opened a hike that I could then book. It was a great rock scrambling trek leading to a beautiful bay, with amazing vistas. No other people apart from a few fishermen in the bay- only beetles, birds, lizards and goats. It was fun to hike with the Absolute Adventure guides! I recommend unreservedly.

This one is not for the feint hearted but given Iam almost 60 years old it is manageable by most. Just dont look down. Going down was harder than going up so be prepared. The guides Jude and Ben were excllent. Supportive, friendly and I felt safe with them all the time. Jude quite rightly called me the night before to warn me that the trek I had chosen was more demanding than the description on line. 5 hours and 1600m climb. But no ropes needed. Just sturdy hiking boots, thick comfy socks, and lots of determination. The guides provide water and rucksacks. We provided our lunch and lots of sweat. Jeans are not the nest trousers. Something lighter, more agile but thick would be best. The rocks are extremely sharp so shorts are not advisable and some light gloves would have come in handy. But overall a great day, great views and a great sense of achievement.

Our first trek in the UAE and it did not disappoint! Great outdoor fun with teenagers and the length of the trip was just right. Our guide Paul was wonderful, a thorough professional. We will definitely be back to try other treks as well

We just finished a 3 day/2 night cycling adventure across the UAE with Absolute Adventure and they were fantastic. We did this with 22 of my colleagues, for charity (in partnership with Gulf for Good). They took care of everything from logistics, route, safety cars, food, putting tents up and more. The team were friendly, everything was professional and i couldn't recommend them more.

Very exciting and surprising trek over the hill from old village to Lima harbor. The old village on the hill showed the traditional Arabic life. The good feeling after trek.

What an awesome day out! The whole process was made so simple for us, Mike the Sales Manager meeting with us at the border helping us through the border then showing us the ropes of the trek.
An amazing speed boat ride along the Musandam Coast provided a scenic and breath taking view. Once arriving at Aqaba, the staffs knowledge of the village gave us a unique perspective of how people used to live.
The hike, well was a hike. Positively challenging and fun! Small group of strangers who pushed themselves up the trial and made it to the top - building great teamwork and support for each other.
Definitely would recommend Absolute Adventures for all your outdoor needs. Very professional and ready for every situation.

My husband and I joined joined Absolute Adventures for the Ababa-Lima trip in March, we loved it. Getting through the border post at Dibba was very easy as AA met us with the paperwork, we were welcomed to their camp for a briefing on the trip and then headed off to the port. We knew we were in for a great day when a huge turtle popped up at the side of the speed boat before we'd even set off. The trip down to Aqaba village is stunning, the water is crystal clear and seeing the mountains drop into the ocean is fantastic.
On arrival at Aqaba we headed up into the village to get our first view of the bay, and hear from our superb local guide (I am so sorry to have forgotten his name...). Having someone with us from the actual village was just so interesting he told us about village life, the roll of the men and women we went to the house he was born in he even sent us into the mountain side jail!
After a packed lunch on the top of the mountain we headed down the other side towards the date plantation where we were lucky enough to have a chilled pool waiting for us to have a dip - what a treat! It was then just a short walk back to Lima harbour where the boat was waiting to take us back. We stopped for a snorkel mid-way but the visibility wasn't great - that's the luck of the draw.
The walk is not difficult though you do need to watch your footing as the ground is loose beneath foot. The scenery is why you take the trip, every turn there is something even more beautiful to see. I would highly recommend this trip and AA, they are professional, experienced, well trained and knowledgeable. Keep this up guys - you are doing a great job.
