We paid around $300.00 American to go on the VIP Experience. On the website it said it would not sail if weather conditions where not ideal. We really looked forward to the schedules route it was suppose to take. We just went on 3/21/2021 and it was a little breezy. They never mentioned due to the wind they where not going to do their normal sailing. The never went out into the Persian Golf we just stayed in around Pier 7. We went one way for about half the trip and then turned around and came back the same way. At one point they just stopped for about 15 minutes just to burn time. The trips suppose to go all the way out and around Atlantis into the Persian Golf. The food is average. Its a buffet. Not bad, but Buffett food. The service was good. Part of the VIP package is the bar. Our waiter said they didn't have Vodka, Rum etc. But once I went to the bar they did. Also since they want to be a high end dinner cruise they need a experience bartender who know how to make drinks. Such as Manhattans. Old Fashions etc. Instead you had a bartender who just knew the basic and could make a rum and coke. For use I was disappointed but if we had done the route we paid for I think I might of like the trip better. Also another negative if you eat inside the windows are so tinted it very hard to see outside at night. Shop around I saw smaller boats that passed us that look more intimate. This boat will hold up to 500 people

We spent around 3 hours on this yacht. They made sure we weren't queuing too long in the heat prior to boarding the yacht.

Once we were aboard we were shown to our table inside (our choice due to the heat). The inside was set out for eating with rows of tables so our first impression wasn't great, however, once everyone was told the food was ready and we'd all eaten the atmosphere changed.

Once we had set sail and was out of the main harbour area the music on the top deck started so we made our way upstairs. The breeze was welcomed as it was roasting on the lower deck.

The views were amazing and the entertainment just added to the experience.

was ok nothing bad nothing great. The buffet was chaos no organisation at all. The tour was ok got to see a good amount of dubai buildings. Overall felt very overpriced

I came away thinking wish I did something else

But if your into buildings a bit of a drink and lite party then you'll have a good time

We booked online a dinner cruise on a traditional boat. We went to dubai marina a little early however, we received a call from tour company who informed us that due to some winds and rain our dinner cruise has been cancelled. We were walking by Pier7 when we noticed a queue outside this humongous yacht "Lotus". We walked to it and found that it was about to leave in 10 minutes. One of the staff gave us a quick tour and we decided to join it.
Super experience!!

Food and drinks 5 stars (from Westin)
Service 5 stars
DJ 2 stars
Did I mention a "swimming pool"

I can't tell you how disappointed we were with this trip. It was sold to us as a VIP experience which is what we paid for I hasten to add . £102 per person so it's not exactly what I would call cheap. That's perfectly acceptable if you receive the VIP experience. I can tell you now we didn't!!! Firstly we queued outside in the heat when I was told (by another hotel guest who went VIP) that we should have been shown to a VIP lounge and given our VIP wristbands. We were then boarded but given yellow wristbands which when our friends questioned were told they were VIP bands and promptly batted away by a member of the team. We were seated downstairs and offered a drink but when we asked for sparkling wine we were told our wristbands didn't cover that. My husband demanded to see a manager and when he eventually arrived he checked our names on the list and realised that we were in fact, VIPS!!!Hallelujah, finally we were escourted upstairs to a roped off VIP section 😀 which actually had reserved tables with our names on and chilled Proscecco waiting. Drinks were ok, food awful. We were asked if we'd like to go downstairs and help ourselves but it was pretty bumpy so a selection of foods were brought up to us but sadly, not to our taste. There were lots of people just walking into the private section, mostly drunk, and constantly getting in the way. They were ushered out a couple of times but didn't stay out long. On the plus side the views were amazing but I can only say don't waste money on VIP tickets. If your idea of a good night is throwing as much booze down your neck as possible then look no further, if not, avoid it like the plague.

We booked for a dinner cruise on Sunday and I wish someone had warned me before doing so.....
The set up was dimmed disco kind of lights and the food was terrible to say the list, you could barely see what was on the plate.
Given they claim it’s a 5 start cuisine it was absolutely horrendous and I barely touched my plate.
I’m also very surprised that they were offering buffet seeing most hotels have been restricted from serving buffet as everyone was touching the same spoons while serving which isn’t the most ideal thing at this stage.
All in all I would not recommend anyone to book for the yatch dinner....to be honest we wish we had gotten off before the yacht took off because we were stuck there for 3 hours.
I’m pretty sure you can find something more affordable and well organized and worth the value for your money. Quite disappointed to say the least.

Dear Guest! We have checked with the team and our floor managed, who was there on the 1st of November. They have not received any complain. Lights are dimmed on most dinner cruises in Dubai for the guests to see the view out of the window. Lotus yacht has large windows for unobstructed view. Have you asked the staff, they would have switched the lights ON for you. It is not a problem to on the lights. And we do not have disco lights in dinning area as well. We have robo-chef, contactless food preparation, it prepares variety of dishes freshly. Noodles, pasta, spaghetti etc with absolute no human touch. In Buffet area we have a chef who serves as per your order. Guests normally do not enter there. Should you wish to come again, you are welcome.

This trip was horrendous!!!

We got onboard and like everyone else to escape the heat asked to be seated below deck in the air conditioned room.

The room was like a canteen with plastic table and chairs with everyone sat on top of you. Everyone pushing into you as they got up from their seats

The AC was not good enough for the amount of people crammed into one space. Everyone was leaking wet from sweating and it was just getting hotter and hotter the more people they crammed into the room.

Pepsi tasted watered down.

Buffett was good but people were pushing in front of you to get to the food first, some acting like they’ve never eaten before!! The staff did try to stop this when hubby was at the buffet but think they gave up when I got there.

We were docked at Marina for over 45mins and decided to leave as this was not a pleasant experience and did not want to be stuck on the boat for 3hrs in these conditions. It really was not pleasant.

This is not a luxury cruise as advertised.

I promise I am not a ‘Karen’ who likes to moan. This was my honest experience

This is a tourist trap. Don’t get fooled by a false advertising especially the so called” VIP” option. We booked a VIP option which cost us 499 UAE Dirham per person. We were taken to a deck where we were seated to a low sitting table, very uncomfortable to the point that food was falling to the floor. The server brought us the bottle of Champaign and few small snacks. That was probably it for the “VIP”. The deck was overcrowded, very noisy with loud music blaring. People were smoking next to our table.
The food was terrible. There were no international meal, no live cooking. Only very limited selection of Indian dishes. Even for the “VIP” we had to go down two levels on the slippery stairwells to get food. We returned up stairs and there was crowd of people from the lower level blocking the view of the show. We felt that we have been cheated, money wasted on a horrible experience. We didn’t even enjoy the views. The night was ruined by a terrible experience. When we presented out complaints no offer to refund or accommodate in other acceptable way was made. Stay clear!

It was a wonderful experience and well worth the money. A cruise journey like this is something, everyone should experience at least once in their lifetime. Kudos team Lotus

It would be appreciated if Lotus would arrange buffets on the top deck as well. Excess food is taken in plates so people don't have to go down stairs to replenish their plates over and over again. As a result, there is more wastage.

I was told by my tour operator that Lous is the best luxury cruise in Dubai i decided to go along with my family on 24th June 2023 . The food served in the cruise is terrible , stale and unhygienic. I just has one piece of so called fish finger and i had a severe stomach ache because I have to leave the ship in emergency. I do not understand that when laws are so strict in Dubai how come this type of terrible food is served to more than 250 tourists a day. I hope this review is read by Municipal Government Authorities of Dubai so that corrective measures can be taken .
