Simply amazing desert tour + more!

Our tour guide was Rashid. He picked us up on time from our hotel at 5am, he was super friendly and extremely knowledgeable!

The activities on the tour were well structured, timely and overall thoroughly enjoyable. We were a little worried about a morning mist affecting the sunrise, but we didn’t have any problem. Watching sunrise in the desert is a truly magical experience and highly recommended. Rashid is also a surprisingly good photographer. We had the opportunity to capture photos throughout the tour, and Rashid also captured Instagram-worthy photos of us together and individually on his own iPhone throughout the trip and sent them to us at the end of the tour.

During the tour we also went dune bashing, sand boarding, held a falcon, had breakfast and had the option of riding a camel (all included in the price) though we politely declined the camel ride. There was no pressure to do anything we didn’t want to do.

All Covid-19 measures were in place and maintained. Rashid readily provided hand sanitiser whenever needed. We felt very safe from a Covid perspective and in general. Rashid’s driving skills during dune bashing were also awe-inspiring and we always felt like he was in control during the exciting ride!

Overall, we loved this tour and would highly recommend!

Sand dunes tour

We booked onto the morning sand dunes tour, which was great fun highly recommend. Very good value for money and really friendly staff throughout the trip. You start off the day with optional dune buggies which you can add on at an extra cost (definitely recommend), and then sand bashing, sand boarding and finishing with a camel ride. Trip is about 4/5 hours in total, which is a great way to start the morning

Dune Bashing

I did a bit of researching and in the end ignored the various Groupon 2 for 1 offers and the evening “touristy” experience, which tend only to offer 20 minutes of dune bashing. We wanted a bit longer. We took the morning slot leaving the hotel at seven with that guide and two other visitors. This worked well because we got back about 1245 and we still had half the day. We were picked up at the hotel and enjoyed a comfortable ride in a Land Cruiser driven by our very helpful guide Bhadsha -about 40 minutes to the bike station. Then straight onto the quad bikes weaving in and out and around dunes to more secluded areas following a quad bike leader. The bikes were all automatic and easy to operate. Helmets provided.There was a break after about half an hour on some high dunes which was welcome as riding those bikes is quite punishing if you’re not used to it. In the break we had photos opportunities and offered the chance to do some sand boarding (2 or 3 goes). Then back onto the bikes and via a different route back to the start point. We thought that was it but we were then taken (through some dunes in the Landcruiser) to a camel station for a 3 minute camel ride [and photo opportunity], then a cup of Arabic coffee, dates and some delicious sweet doughnuts! Oh and a photo opportunity dressed in the local garb, with a live hawk on one arm. So we did get a bit of a “touristy” experience at the end which was actually a nice way to finish it off. If you’re physically fit this is definitely the one to go for. It’s a well-balanced program and like I say it’s finished before it’s lunchtime and got too hot. The car driver Bhadsa, our Quad guide, the camel driver and the staff in the coffee hut were too a person very polite and very helpful. It was a truly fantastic experience which we will never forget. I would strongly recommend this company to anyone. I would say though that an hour is a demanding time on the bike. If you’re not sure then choose one of the shorter ride experiences.

Unforgettable experience

Oh what a Knight! Oscar Knight Tours that is. This 7 hour day/night excursion was well worth the $$. Having the convenient pick up and drop off was a hit, then it was non-stop fun, fun, fun!!! We started with a wild ride on ATV’s, where all the buggies are rapidly passing us on all sides along the sand Dunes. Wow! Then on to the Dunes, literally, where our driver and tour guide extraordinaire, Iqbal, balanced his van along the peaks and drops of the Dunes.... talk about exhilarating!! Then, amazing camel rides at sunset, falcon show, tea and dates on cushions, and ultimately the bbq bonanza dinner and a belly dancing and fire show. What can I say, I’m beyond words, it was just a day I’ll never forget. Thanks so much Iqbal!

Full on fun made our trip more memorable

We really enjoyed our stay at tent our personal guide Iqbal is great person, though out our journey he provided detailed guidance about all the fun activities he has also provided advice on other attractions as well .I’ll highly recommend Iqbal guide. This was a best part our Dubai trip. Lots of fun activities to do and no time for getting bored.

I would definitely recommend Oscar Knight Tours and Ashraf

One of the best experiences we had in Dubai. Our guide, Ashraf, made sure that we enjoyed every moment that we spent in our safari adventure. From the awesome way he handled the car while riding the desert dunes to the funny jokes he made during the day. He was kind enough to take pictures of us with every opportunity. The camel experience was incredible, we never had an encounter with so many camels at once and the baby camels were very cute. The dinner was good and contained starters, BBQ, different salads and sweets (soft drinks/water included) and the show was nice. I strongly recommend Oscar Knight Tours and also Ashraf.

kids had a blast

This excellent trip was definitely worth. The first stop was driving our own buggy through the desert. It was so much fun. Afterwards the guide drove us through the desert. We drove through the big mountains of sand. My kids and husband had a blast. Our guide Iqbal has 15 years experience driving through the desert so we always felt safe with him although it was like being on a roller coaster. He was super nice and slowed down when he noticed that I was scared. Luckily we practiced sand surfing shortly afterwards . This was actually quite easy, and everybody managed at the end. Iqbal took fun pictures of us and the desert is just beautiful. We then got the chance to ride the big and beautiful camels and had a snack in the desert. We watched the sunset, so beautiful. The snacks were delicious . At the end we travelled fifteen minutes in the car until we arrived at a place where we had dinner, watched a fire show and a great belly dancer. The food was really good, taboulet, hummus, chicken skewers, lamb kofta, etc. I can really recommend Oscar Knight tours and especially our guide. Super friendly, professional and always on the safe side. We had a wonderful day and will definitely use them again on our next trip. The kids keep asking when we can go again.

Sun & Sand in Dubai

With a nice early start to the day, we were picked up by our courteous host Qurban and we’re on our way. After only one stop to pick up some more sand seekers, we drove straight out to the desert and please don’t forget your sneakers. After riding ATVs & camels up, down and all around we snapped some pics with the Peregrine Falcon that flies a quarter as fast as the speed of sound. All in all it was a great experience I can’t wait into do again.

Best experience we had in dubai

We had a fantastic desert ride with Ashraf.
He is an amazing driver, he was very careful and made sure that he does not go beyond what we could handle :)

He s also a good photographer and a fun person to chat with.

We 100% recommend the experience and him as a guide :)
