This is another upmarket district near La Mer. Beautiful architecture throughout, especially the houses. Stores and restaurants were busy, there was simply a great vibe about the place. We would have enjoyed more time here as with many other Dubai attractions. More stopovers needed.

Jumeirah is a large coastal district in Dubai, which is located on both sides of the Jumeirah Street, a road which runs parallel to the coastline. The road is a hip and happening place, dotted with restaurants, fast food joints, art galleries and the like.

Loved by locals and tourists alike, the weekends, in particular, see large numbers of people visit the beaches along this area to indulge in games, jetskiing, kitesurfing etc. It's not exactly the most wallet friendly destination in Dubai, but gives a good feel of the modern side of this city. Adding to the beauty of the place are the art murals that have recently come up on buildings on both sides of the Street, which depict traditional life and modernity in the UAE.

We stayed in the Jumeirah area and it is certainly a place you should visit during your trip to Dubai. The Burj Al Arab and the Marina are certainly highlights but the entire area is just a nice place to dine and explore. The beaches aren’t world renowned but they are certainly lovely especially at night with the tall building and their sparkling lights.
