The area
Neighborhood: The Marina
It’s hard to believe that only a decade ago there was no marina. Opened in 2003, the man-made marina runs along a 3km stretch of shoreline. A heady mix of luxurious hotels, apartment buildings, and cafes, the marina hosts regular community events and markets, and is a wonderful place to while away an afternoon or evening. Spectacular at night when the skyscrapers glisten, here you can enjoy dinner on the beach next to the sea, or visit a high-rise bar in a hotel for a magnificent view across the Gulf and the man-made Palm Island, with the world-famous Atlantis Hotel at its end. The Walk at Jumeirah beach Residences is a pedestrianized stretch leading to a new development: The Beach. It’s one of the few places where Gulf nationals mix with tourists and Western ex-pats. It’s a popular place to show off your supercar for an evening, so watch out for Lamborghinis, Maseratis, and Ferraris in abundance.

    Incredible Destination
Dubai Marina is an incredible destination that I highly recommend for everyone. From the beautiful marina and skyline views to the numerous activities and attractions, there is something for everyone. The marina has a wide variety of restaurants, bars, and cafes to choose from, offering a variety of cuisines and atmospheres. There are plenty of shopping and entertainment spots, ranging from high-end malls to more affordable stores. The marina is also home to several public parks, which are great for relaxing and taking in the scenery. The waterfront promenade is a great place for a stroll or a bike ride, and the marina also offers boat tours and water sports. Overall, Dubai Marina is a great place to visit and I highly recommend it to all.

    Just awesome in the evening
The see and be seen venue on the canals of the marina. We got to the area walking and as we crossed the bridge, we saw what it was all about and had to get down to the water level and do the promenade along the waterfront. We had a gelato at Massimo's and as it grew darker the silhouettes of the gigantic buildings were pronounced by the lights positioned on them. Beautiful. Great walking, the sundown and temperatures cooling slightly it's a serene location.

    Stunning Sight After Dark
Beautiful marina surrounded by modern high rises creates a stunning sight especially after dark. Plenty of expensive places to shop, eat and drink. Mama Zonia at Pier 7 was an outstanding dining experience overlooking the water. The Marina embodies the glamour and wealth of Dubai, but it also lacks something. It is clean and all newly built in the last decade or two but it feels a bit sterile and lacks authenticity probably as it doesn't have any history.

    Stunning architecture
Interesting reading the reviews now - it seems like it would be very worthwhile to go back in the evening when the lights are on. I was there in late morning, and it was almost deserted. Admittedly, it was 37 degrees, so perhaps people were staying indoors due to the heat. In any case, it was a beautiful area with interesting architecture. Use of the tram through the area was included in a metro daypass, and was a useful way of getting around, although to get to the water you will have to walk from one of the stops.

A great walk in the evening
So much happening in this place. Dinner cruises, the mall, numerous restaurants, or just watching the sights. We often take the walk when staying on Jumeirah Beach Sheraton. There is always a lot to see, and you get the benefit in the evening of it being lit up, and the temperatures being a few degrees cooler, which was very helpful in September. The only negative is the restaurant people continuing to try to get you to eat at their places. Friendly people but just so many of them!

    The best
People are so nice and very accomadating, their smile were so warmth and welcoming. Also the guy Mr.Vaibhav was so nice and told us to ask him if we needed anything else. Forgot his name but surely I will recommend this resto for my friends 👍

Lovely area but be on the look out
A beautiful area to walk around either in the day or night, but the lights make the evening experience a little more enjoyable. Loads of smart restaurants and cafes to eat and drink at and not too expensive for the area. Just two issues that we didn’t enjoy which stops me giving it 5 stars 1/ Some of the touts trying to get you to eat in their restaurant were a bit invasive and stopped a nice leisurely walk. Others are not a problem when you say you have eaten or meeting someone. Just be prepared! 2/ the second issue was a real nuisance and that is the E scooters that plague the area. They travel at some speed and you can’t here them, they also have electric buggies that are a nuisance as well. I get that it would be beneficial for people with mobility problems but this is just for fun. Please be aware of your environment as there a few near misses. Personally I’d like to see them stopped as it stops you relaxing as you walk about. Some fabulous yachts in the marina to drool over as well. There is also the marina mall which is pleasant to walk around

    Beautiful marina
The area is very beautiful. It is surrounded by skyscrapers, with a waterfront promenade, there are many restaurants (but very few also serve alcohol...). There are also a few small grocery stores where you can buy water or juice at reasonable prices. Also, there is a mall, but it is not the most beautiful in Dubai. In the evening, the employees of the restaurants trying to convince you to stop at them are a bit annoying. The area is much more spectacular and livelier in the evening.

    Cool Area
We really enjoyed our time walking around in this area. Many of Dubai's other tall buildings are here and we enjoyed the architecture and design in the area. It is worthwhile checking out a restaurant in this area to sit and enjoy the views with some good. The closest metro is DMCC and there are a few tram connections nearby. Plan to spend a couple of hours here in cooler months and more if you plan to dine here.

Giant work to did that, to line up sea water into city and to built skyscreapers by bank of sea. Calm and enjoyable walkways, we enjoy it. Walk a lot, more than 22000 steps by day inspite of using metro and city bus. Nice colours coming at sunset, mirroring yeallow-red shines on giant glass skyscreapers.
Nice pictures can be taken at then.

Waterfront Promenade across artificially built lake,Also Yatch parked along, good place to spend evening and enjoy Dubai life. Many restaurants along the promenade also many activities, can do yatch ride or traditional Dhow cruise.
Parking is a problem, better to park car in Marina Mall parking .
Metro is better way to reach a small walk from Dubai marina metro station, can also changed to tram also from Dubai Marina station.
Lots of instaworthy photo spots with Marina skyscrapers and yatch in background.

It certainly bits other Dubai locations in terms of walkability. It’s very accessible with numerous of restaurant, some of them licensed. It’s worth checking out Pavilion for its selection of places. Beach has different kids attraction. Inflatable playground on the see is quite good fun. Beach gets busy however and cleaning doesn’t always happen on time.
Marina mall area is also nice to walk around with multiple restaurants ect.
At the same time I’m missing anything special about this area, it’s fairly generic without much charm. It really overpriced and can get really jammed with traffic in the evenings.
It is also on a chavvy side, can get really loud and unpleasant.

Its hard to describe how a city area surrounded by sky scrapers can be so unbelievably beautiful. The Marina is spectacular and the architecture of the buildings (including a mosque) is brilliant. Take a boat trip along the Marina out to see and back to get the best views.

This is undone of the best areas that has apx 7km palm-lined waterfront walkway dotted with global cafes, food outlets, restaurants and boating excursions options. The entire strech is dotted with well planned seating benches for walkers and visitors to rest and enjoy the views.
The very modern and unique building structures are eye catching. A twisted skyscraper is the unique one here.

Calming place with a view I can happily dream off. The Friday brunch is amazing because of the variety and very good service however the standout for me has to be the beach bar staff Alponsus and Fabion who are very welcoming, quick to meet any query or order in a very professional manner. Highly recommended it if your nearby but even more recommended it if your coming to visit dubai. World class find.

The Dubai Marina is stunning, not just for the water bodies, but for the hundreds of skyscrapers of different designs. It is as if there was a blank cheque given to a gamut of architects to come up with designs in a competition.
Want to go shopping here? Check out the Dubai Marina Mall.

Not surprisingly, one of the busiest places my wife and I visited while in Dubai was the Dubai Marina. On a gorgeous March day, lots of people were walking around taking in the sites, eating at the cafes in the area, heading over to one of the nearby beaches and enjoying yacht and dhow cruises. As with almost everywhere I visited in Dubai, the Dubai Marina area was clean and safe. In addition to the waterfront, there is an impressive skyline with scores of glistening skyscrapers lined up in mass.

There are many activities to choose—everything from strolling on the walkways, to taking in views from the Dubai Eye, to skydiving for the more adventurous. Old ziplines are still present, though ziplining is now prohibited in Dubai.

The Dubai Marina is a very family friendly place for those who want enjoy scenic waterfront views and activities away from Dubai’s city center.

A lovely area to take a stroll, or read a book, enjoy a boat ride, have dinner at the cruise, admire the high rise landscape of Dubai or stop by sipping a coffee... just do whatever makes you feel good.

Food, scenery, the beauty of yachts parked, illuminated cruise ... Its an experience during late evenings when the hustle-bustle around the bay has rested.
