Top ways to experience The Dubai Mall
The area
Neighborhood: Downtown Dubai
You can’t fail to miss Dubai’s iconic Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building. It towers over the city and resides in the prestigious Downtown development. Once an old army base, Downtown is now the jewel in Dubai’s crown, a beautiful residential and leisure area housing not only the world’s tallest building, but the world’s largest fountains and mall. Wide marble sidewalks are perfect for strolling, with restaurants, art galleries and children’s play areas. Specially commissioned sculptures line the roads and Downtown is often used as a canvas for modern art displays and community events such as Classic Car Shows and National Day parades. In the cooler months, cross one of the many bridges to the Burj Khalifa park and enjoy a picnic alongside residents and visitors, or enjoy a lunch or dinner watch the dancing fountains. Because of its mixed use, Downtown is a fantastic place to mix with Dubai residents and locals and watch real life unfold in a cosmopolitan environment.

    Unreal.
Every time I come here it knocks me for six, such a clean, beautiful exceptional Mall, with everything on offer from an indoor Aquarium, Zoo, ice rink, cinema, hundreds of eateries, hundreds of premium luxury stores and the more affordable ones too, all mixed into one amazing Mall that creates such a wow factor, lower floor Fashion Avenue is next level and I visited the toilets there as well, OMG gold taps, marble from floor to ceiling, gold chandeliers and ornate lighting and absolutely immaculate as you'd expect from Dubai, you'd pay handsomely to use these facilities anywhere in the world but in Dubai, there is no charge, it's just the way they roll, visit, enjoy soak it all up and just think how lucky you are to visit such an establishment. The Souk is also beautiful and smells amazing as you walk around it. NB : top tip, use the Apple shop for your Dubai fountain shows viewing, we went to the 1pm showing, best seats in the house.

    Dubai mall
Dubai mall is the largest mall in the world. As expected from the largest mall, it has shops for each brand one can think of. In addition, there are multiple attractions in the mall to keep families and kids occupied, such as dubai acqualrium, ice rink, kidzania, haunted house, dino fossil, waterfall etc. To be honest, one full day is less to explore the mall completely, but atleast budget 7 to 8 hours for the same.

Allocate 1 Full Day to Explore This Shopping Mall!
I visited Dubai for the first time in June 2023, I stayed at the Palace Downtown Hotel, located right next door to this mall. I walked into the Dubai Mall at 10am and spent the entire day in the mall, including going up to the observation deck of the Burj Khalifa! In the evening at 7pm, I had dinner at the Tribes Carnivore restaurant located on the 3rd floor of the Dubai Mall and they gave me a table located on their outdoor terrace. From here, I had the best views of the Dubai Fountain, which comes alive every 30 minutes from 6pm to 11pm daily. This mall is ENORMOUS and very clean and well-lit. If you come to Dubai for the first time, this mall should be high on your priority list for must-visit places in this city! The Dubai Aquarium, located inside this mall, is also a great attraction. There is a Chinatown inside this mall as well! The famous indoor waterfall with the silver divers is another unique attraction and great for taking photos for your Instagram account. This mall is really AMAZING!

    Stunning Mall
I visited Dubai mall today, after an absence of 4 years. My visit was focused on the newly opened China town on the 1st floor, Opposite Ski Circuit. The town looks stunning and well-constructed. There is a spa, food court and fun stores. It is directly connected to Address Fountain Views hotel. It is worth a visit. I remained in the mall for the full day, strolling around and enjoying the biggest mall. You will find everything for the whole family. I had lunch at the famous Cheesecake factory. SEE photos

    Amazing Mall
We heard a lot about the Dubai Mall and visited to see the site. The location is next to the Fountains and Burj Khalifa. The mall is enormous and has every store and a variety of cost as well. Tons of restaurants and activities. Family friendly with a lot of security and assistants to ensure people find their way. A must see and a must visit. We spent 4 hours there but could have spent 4 days.

For us it was more 10,000 steps day 😂 Good place to past the time
A huge mall like they say, easy to find stores and walk by. Many brands with updated collections. Even the aquarium is located in the mall. Get prepared to walk, my husband wanted to have Michelin star food, so that was one of the reasons we went first. The cheapest Michelin star restaurant available in china town, good bubble tea from kOI. Over all good place to past time

    Huge and Elaborate Shopping Mall
The Dubai Mall is impressive in size and in appearance. Every shop imaginable can be found in this massive place. There are also a number of restaurants to choose from including casual and more upscale. It is also home to the Dubai Fountain and the Burj Khalifa. Also easily accessible from the Metro.

Fun, gigantic mall next to Dubai Fountain
This mall is huge and has everything, including an ice skating rink and an aquarium (with eagle rays, guitar fish, nursing shark, saw fish). It is next to Burj Khalifa, and overlooks part of the Dubai Fountain. Nice food options (including a food court), a Souk (in air conditioned comfort), lots of restaurants, lots of luxury goods, toy shops, children's activities, a waterfall, a Waitrose, movie theatres, Apple shop, Huawei shop and more... It's easy to get lost in here. The only thing is that it gets kind of crowded by 11 am.. There's also not a lot of seating.

    Lives up to the hype
You can't go to Dubai and not go to Dubai Mall whether it's for shopping, food or leisure activities! It definitely lives up to the hype although a couple of pointers, especially for families with young kids: 1. It can get very busy in the food courts from around 7pm onwards so avoid eating at that time if you can. We had to change our food choice in some cases as the line to buy food was too long 2. Lifts are not as common as escalators so if you have a stroller, make sure you know where the lifts are or be prepared to fold the stroller to go on escalators.

It is a massive mall with almost all the outlets you are aware of. One can spend a complete day in the mall as there are so many activities to do. Shopping is a bit expensive but the good thing is that you get everything under one roof

Well this is THE mall! For designer expensive stuff that is. There are high street brands peppered here and there but mostly go if you are need for some designer retail therapy or looking for niche market brand. We came on DSF so there were good deals to be had. However, check the prices well, sometimes it is still expensive even with all the discounts (ex better to shop bags in an outlet store in Europe). This is not the place for authentic local food but go if you are craving for burgers and the other usual chains. Lastly, watch for the fountain/Burj show throughout the day. We tried outside and another inside the Nike store. The one in Nike has a great vantage point plus seats and you can enjoy it without the crowds but you won’t hear the music.

Last day of our holiday so we joined the crowds & visited Dubai Mall.
Very easy to be overwhelmed by the size but once you’ve downloaded the app (activate location services on your phone) it’s easy to navigate. Another good thing to know is that each floor & area have a theme, ie tech on L2 so once you know what you’re after it’s easier to find.
We didn’t see the full fountain display but enough to wish we had more time & stay to watch the main performance at 6PM once the light disappeared. We suggest you grab a table at one of the many restaurants overlooking the huge “lake” to watch as it gets very busy on the bridge.
All in all a very good half to full day trip out to what must be one of the largest malls in the world.
Finally, make sure you visit the huge aquarium!

Imagine Regent’s Street, Oxford Street, Knightsbridge all under one roof you don’t even have a half of the Dubai Mall. The prices put the UK to shame. An 8k TV a 1/4 of UK price.

People were streaming into the mall from our buses drop off point but once inside the mall did look exceptionally business.

The information boards not only showed where a shop was but displayed the best route even changing floors as appropriate.

The place was spotless, electric carts were available to ride from one area to another and toilets were regularly spaced out through out the mall.

There are cafes spread through out the complex and more than one food court.

Shopping centres in the UK and the USA could learn some serious lessons from this mall.

Only problem is could seriously dent the wallet

The Dubai Mall is by far the World's Biggest Mall. One can imagine the definition of biggest when the mall houses an aquarium, underwater zoo, ice rink, waterfalls, fountain show, dinosaur remains and not to forget over 1000 shops of every brand from all around the world. Not to forget that the entrance to Burj Khalifa is also through the Mall !!
One can easily spend the entire day at the mall & still not be able cover the entire mall. We spent the entire day at this premise visiting the Burj Khalifa, Underwater zoo & aquarium and the Dubai fountains.

Love the mall and always visit the fountain to catch the show when I’m in Dubai. The show lasts All of 5 minutes and is quite an interesting display of light and sound.
The mall has many restaurants to choose from and an amazing variety of stores - from
High- end to midrange. It’s massive so be prepared to walk. Parking can also be a challenge on weekends and valet is available at a cost (yes it’s quite steep), so I would recommend an Uber.
Something else I love about the mall is the aquarium

If you are looking for a driving school in Dubai never ever choose Emirates driving institute. Usually you need spend few days on the phone, because no one do not pick it up, you can’t even check the important information. If you are lucky, maybe, they will call you back, inshallah! The branch in Dubai mall give to you wrong information, confirm about your appointment and of the end you will realize that you don’t have any confirmation about it on the school. You just will west your time, money for a taxi and your nerves for a nothing. On the same time the supervisor on the main office in Al quoz 3, can’t handle any situation, can’t give any proper information and he just will tell to you waiting for a call back from your branch and you will never receive this call. I’m super disappointed with this school, never ever recommend to no one!

I can’t find the right words to tell you this mall is out of this world. It’s not only any shopaholic’s paradise but even for those who prefer to avoid shopping this mall is a masterpiece in architecture and display of goods.
From the entrance you know you are stepping into something greater. I’ve been to other malls in Asia (the Petronas shopping center in Malaysia for example) but the Dubai Mall surpassed all expectations.
All the well known brands around the world and anything you can think of are under one roof. High end names harmoniously share the same roof with low cost/affordable brands making this the place to be.
It’s true that Dubai does not really have local fashion or products but you can get some really good and beautifully packaged sweets to take home with you.
The aquarium is wonderful. You can see it from outside if you don’t want to visit but inside you can pay to get your photos taken while scuba diving. The mall also has an indoor zoo, ice skating ring and a variety of restaurants.
Prices are comparable with Europe although some perfumes and cosmetics were a lot more expensive.
I don’t know how many days you’ll need to see it all but we were there for 6 hours and I’m sure we didn’t see half of it.

We visited this place on 13th January, primarily to visit the aquarium, burj khaleefa, and the fountain show.
The mall is huge, and it takes time to understand the geography.Almost all famous international brands are available
but the prices were too expensive.
Though we couldnot visit all shops,I must say.We were told by the locals that better prices are available in other stores.

If you are looking for high end shops that‘s the place to visit. Of course you find also all usual brands with „normal“ prices. There are a lot of Restaurants close to the Water Front. There is also a aquarium and a Ice skating ring. As crazy as it sounds.
If you want to get cheaper prices or more sales you better go in another Mall. If you want to see the shows at the Waterfront try to go in a restaurant on a higher Floor.
