Mattel Play! Town is an indoor educational play area located in City Walk. Five themed zones focus on different social skills and educational elements through imaginative play. We walked here from our hotel, the Sofitel Downtown, took about 15-20 mins through the City Walk area a modern development so all very pleasant. From the moment we arrived my 4 year old was bursting with excitement - 99 AED for us both to get in and included a kids meal. Various play areas all based on Mattel characters. Bob the B, Fireman Sam, Barney , Thomas plus various stage shows - everything was spotless and the staff full of energy , happy , and super helpful. Thoroughly recommended for young kids.

My kids of 8 and 4 have had fun of their life !
Meeting Bob the builder, Barney, Fireman Sam live was like heaven for them.
The food was also good, even the support staff were so patient in helping my kids out especially at Fireman Sam. Thumps up to all support staff at Fireman Sam !
The environment is very clean and hygienic

Kids will love this place very much.They can meet some of their favourite characters AI this indoor play centre. Natural born performers can dance.You can enjoy 4D experience also.A fun packed Barneys yard & fireman Sam zone where little kids can get behind the wheel of Jupiter.Tickets cost from Dhs 55 fir adults and Dhs95 for kids.

These guys have tripled there price - it was AED175 for children and another AED50 for adults, so we ended up paying AED275 for a family of 3!!!! Definitely not worth.
Adults get tea and coffee (but not water!!) for that and the kids a small buffet but still way way over priced.
It was also uncomfortably busy. When we tried to leave to go outside for a break, was told we couldn’t come back in (despite being told it was AED175 for all day access).
Will not be going back. Suggest you stay away and go to anyone of the other play centers in Dubai.

Where to start?! 🤔 decided to have a father and son (2 1/2 yr old) day. Security at the entrance is over whelming and then carries on throughout making the experience almost threatening.
No mention on checking in that children require socks to play in most areas. Add on 3aed. Want a soft drink add on 16aed. Face painting 15aed the prices continue to climb if you want a burger, fries and a drink at a staggering 35aed which follows suit for a small baguette or salad. Only visible healthy meal option was a salad. The remainder is pizzas and fries.
Kiddies areas are run down and cello tape is visibly seen on multiple floor mats. With Bob the Builder working there one would assume he can fix it? Clearly he can’t.
A good visit but over priced with further hidden extras throughout.

I visited Mattel play town a few times. It is a very nice place for kids. They have several shows per day and Barney obviously is the star there.. best for kids between 4-6 I would say... will definitely go back. They also accept entertainer and have a good summer offer..

It’s a very exciting place for kids and my daughter who is 3yrs old really enjoyed herself with all the shows and activities.
However they should have more options in the cafe I fee otherwise a fantastic place for kids and mommies to spend the day !

Lots of shows that will not leave you bored and will keep the kids asking for more, different themes across 2 floors. Have visited this place almost everytime we visit Dubai with the kids.

One of the best play areas in dubai for kids .
Many ideas and play areas with creative playing .
My son enjoyed it very much for almost 8 hours.

We had our son's 05th birthday celebrations held @ Mattel Play Town recently (06th Sep 2019). Turns out it was the best decision we took. Everything was just perfect - the arrangements, the venue, the decor, the food, the activities - the kids just had an awesome time. The best part is that after the party, the kids get to enjoy the rest of the day at the playtown exploring and having fun.
You get to choose from one of their themes and it was Fireman Sam for us. The theme decor and the party games by the hosts kept the kiddies engaged and the highlight was the appearance of Firman Sam himself which was super thrilling for the kids.
The staff were proactive and helpful in putting things together and accommodating last minute requests. The only thing that was not upto the mark was the event photography which was offered as an add on (paid) service by an external vendor at site. Remember to book your own photographer for any event here.
As a kids play area, Mattel Play Town is a great choice for a day of fun and kids will love it. Plus the food counters and seating arrangements for adults, add to the place's USP. Definitely recommend !!
