Nothing special about this statue really. And very little in the way of historical background in English. OK, if you happen to be in the area; if not, don't need to go searching for it.

Just a statue. Nothing much but if you have plenty of time to kill. You maybe visit and take some time to relax here. Just next to UXO museum.

This monument is a big deal for Laotians and a big statue for we tourists. It is a peaceful break from busy Luang Prabang, with places to sit, well tended gardens, and the President. Behind this park are the offices and visitors Center called UXO,...More

This statue and garden were built here to memorize the first President of the communist laos from 1975 . As this president was born in Luang Prabang. Before 1975 he was a leader in the revolutionary party of laos .

It's just a park, neat and well manicured, with the President's monument. Nothing much to do or see here, except to take a break and eat a sandwich perhaps, that's what I did.

When we visited there were lots of local children playing in the surrounding park, which added to the atmosphere wonderfully. The statue is impressive, and takes on more meaning when one studies the history.

It is just a park with a monument. Nothing much interesting. There is a Wat next to it and in front of it. It is located next to the Mekong river. If you are into history and stuff, maybe will be interesting for you.

Just next to UXO, this beautiful park is empty but very clean and well maintained. The monument is quite big and very good place to chill with a beautiful view.
