Beautifully curated park and outdoor experience. We would recommend a stop here to stroll through the garden, with the enclosed butterfly garden a definite highlight. The park is thoughtfully designed with beautiful plants, landscaping, and streams and waterfalls flowing throughout. The small cafe is a nice spot for Dutch apple cake and beverages. There are informative handouts and staff that inform you of the butterflies and their lifecycle.

We arrived here about 1pm on our way back from the morning at the falls. The guy working the front counter was very rude. It cost 40,000kip (about $6CAD) to enter. They give you a map and educations information to help guide you threw Laos wildlife & plants.

The Park offers educational excursions to local school children to increase awareness of the fragile ecosystem.

The property is split into five area: the butterfly garden enclosure, colourful garden, orchid garden, cactus garden and a waterfall. There are many different types of butterflies in many different sizes in a lush green gardens. There were also a lot of lazy cats.

There is a small restaurant with koi fish pond and ducks. They serves cold drinks , sandwiches and small desserts. On site restrooms were clean and they had western toilets.

This is a beautifully designed and very informative park. You'd be crazy to miss this attraction if visiting the Falls. You learn a lot about butterflies but it's just a beautiful and peaceful place to visit. It looks like they have projects to engage with education and the community in the future so a very worthy place to support. Don't miss the apple pie at the cafe - the best I've ever had!!

This is a lovely little place to visit after the falls BUT it’s not very big and the entrance fee is 100,000 K each (x3 for our family). You are given a little map and guide which makes the place look much bigger than it really is. In 30 minutes you are finished, unless you spend time at the cafe. The butterfly enclosure was nice, and the natural fish spa was a novelty. My son enjoyed looking at the caterpillars and chrysalis.

I know that the money goes to support the local village, it just seemed a bit high compared to the cheap entrance to the falls.

At the Falls,we were approached by a friendly Dutch lady who told us about the Butterfly Park which I visited on the way back to Luang Prabang with our daughter. It was a haven of delight and peace. There were knowledgeable people on the spot to give insight to the species and their life patterns. As a butterfly lover from Europe this sanctuary was a welcome surprise.

This lovely park, run by a very friendly and welcoming Dutch woman, is at the higher end of the scale cost-wise for attractions in Luang Prabang, but is nevertheless worth a visit while visiting Kuang Si. The setting is beautiful, there's a lovely cafe and some of the butterflies are truly gorgeous. Great undertaking. Oh, and the fish spa is fantastic!

We had been to the falls and then our guide and driver took us a short distance to the Butterfly park.Everything very rustic and blends in with the whole area.We were shown the life story of the butterflies and went into a caged area to see the sometimes enormous butterflies flying around. They look so delicate. We met the Dutch? owners and they explained about the area. The lady had been painting small stones with butterflies to take into town to advertise their business.I explained our grandchildren painted small stones and hid them in town and on their holidays and put their email address on the back too.We had lunch of a cheese and ham roll and drink at the centre which was very welcome.

We entered the place on our way back from the waterfalls and it was such a pleasant surprise. The butterflies are stunning and interesting information is provided in a very pleasant way. It is beautifully arranged and very clean. They have a small cafe/restaurant and we had a delicious apple pie and good coffee. The Dutch couple that runs the place is lovely and friendly. We wish we had more time to spend in this unique and tranquil place.

Popped in after seeing the waterfall. I hadn’t read the reviews on the place before visiting so was a bit weary on entering. The entrance and walk to the main netted area is unassuming but once you enter the netted enclosure it’s a magical place. Butterflies are everywhere. You can see caterpillars, chrysalis and young butterflies shortly after emerging. Feels like something out of a children’s film. My toddler and baby had a wonderful time (as did I!)

Took a beautiful stroll through the park after the falls, met both of the owners who are wonderful people and enjoyed the beautiful gardens and wildlife. Stopped in at the cafe for some apple pie and enjoyed the ponds they had to offer. Great stop after the waterfalls to get a snack and relax.
