A small market - with some nice workers. A bit to see but maybe wished to see a little bit more. Worth a visit anyway.

Tourist trap on the way to the Pak Ou Caves. Many vendor but no real pressure. A very nice temple at the top. But little whiskey.

Why are they marketing this place as an essential stop off en route to the (not very exciting) caves? I feel like I've wasted my morning as it is - but I most definitely could have done without a shopping excursion for scarves and snake...More

We made a short stop here after visiting pak ou cave. It was interesting to taste and learn about how the locals distill and produce the rice whiskey. Can’t say it tasted all that great but was nice to have the opportunity to experience this.

Probably not that spectacular as to specially visit this place. But it was part of our one day tour of Whisky Village - Pak Ou Caves - Kuang Si Falls. So just nice. There are stalls operating looms, selling fabric, scarfs and handicraft. And of...More

This small village and stop by virtually all tour groups, is not worth a trip by itself, but as part of a longer one, worth a look. The primary attraction is rice whiskey which is 50% alcohol and distilled in several locations. You'll be offered...More

If you like Rice Wine it's a place to see. Small village with trinkets and a Wat to see. Plus you can see, learn about Lao Lao Whisky. Have a taste, buy a bottle and enjoy.

All the Day trips and tours seem to stop here on the way to the Pak au caves. I stopped here twice. Its really just a collection of shops and stalls selling mainly whisky and spirits (yes they let you sample them first) and textiles,...More

They make the whiskey here, it is good and they sell all those touristy bottles with snakes and scorpions in them. This village has open air market stalls but nothing jumped out at me. However, I do like to support any entrepeneurs and this seems...More
