We went here one afternoon and met the lovely woman who runs it. This library donates books and uniforms to students who do not have access to reading material or clean uniforms. You can even borrow books for a day or two.

Interesting place, small with quite a lot of books. There are monks there learning English. Library is right in town, so can pop by easily.

Please make this part of your visit to Luang Prabang and share this! Your donation - books start from as little as 10,000Kip (that's like less than $2) - makes a huge difference. I've seen the library staff in action when they distribute your donations...More

We went to teach the kids but it was a holiday so no many around. We bought a few books for the children and had a chat with the director. A real nice place for the kids.

The library itself is not very good (newspapers are outdated), but it is wonderful because it is a central location where tourists can drop by and practice English with many avid students (Buddhist novices, young adults) who are just so interested in learning! A real...More

Very helpful and keen workers, for the locals to learn English. But more signs are needed or individual advice to increasing number of travellers in appropriate dress and behaviour towards the Novice monks though!
