This place is nice but a little walk away from the hotel. The massage therapists were very sweet and we enjoyed our very relaxing massage 105 minute massage, however, it was not deep tissue, which is what we booked. Upon arriving, we were asked to fill out information about

Dear Annas, Thank you so much for your visit at our Palm Tree Health Spa. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your massage, but at the same time would like to apologize for the mix up. There seems to have been some miscommunication between our manager and the massage therapists. We are constantly improving the spa experience for our guests and reviews like these help us find out our weak spots. We are looking into the communication right now and working on ways to improve the initial form (i.e. we're translating it into Lao for our therapists). However, we would also like to emphasize that our guests can always give immediate feedback to our therapists / our manager if their experience is not meeting their expectations! The direct feedback is always more helpful than a written review at a later point of time. That said we really appreciate your words and we'll make sure to improve these processes. Again, thank you for your visit and we hope to have you back some time, kind regards, Mr. Lar Phonchaleun Palm Tree Health Spa Manager

I had an excellent massage at this spa recently, which I was very pleased with. The staff was very welcoming, the masseur was skilled, and the massage experience was enjoyable. What wasn’t so enjoyable was the cost of the extras and the spa’s exchange rate. Our daughter

Dear ChicoRanMan, Thank you very much for visiting our Palm Tree Health Spa and for leaving us this review. First of all, we are happy to hear that you liked your massage treatment. Secondly, we are sorry to hear that parts of your experience have not met your expectations. Please allow us to comment on a few things: - Unfortunately, our supplier who is delivering the heating system for the pool has been keeping us on hold. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you / your daughter. We are working hard on changing the current situation and are confident, that we can soon offer the heated pool as advertised. Following your comments we improved the communication on this and now have a sign explaining the current situation. - We can assure you that we are not trying to "make as much money off the clients as possible". First of all, as you noticed, our massage staff has been trained in their field. Also, we only use high quality oils and massage equipment - this all comes at a cost for us. Secondly, Palm Tree Health Spa belongs to Mekong Riverview Hotel and is first and foremost an oasis of peace and relaxation for our hotel guests. To ensure the exclusiveness for our hotel guests, we charge outside guests for the pool use. However we understand that you are upset to pay 10$ for just the short time your daughter used the pool and we apologize that our staff was not more understanding about that, especially because the pool temperature was our fault after all. We will for sure discuss this matter with our staff to prevent similar disappointing experiences in the future. - Exchange rate: We daily adjust our exchange rate that our finance department transfers us according to the official rates. Again, we apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your visit. kind regards, Mr. Lar Phonchaleun Palm Tree Health Spa Manager

First off, getting to the spa from the hotel is quite an event: boat trip across the Mekong, climb up the bank to be met by a driver for a short tuk-tuk ride to the spa. We hung out by the pool area for about an hour before our massages. The pool and smaller bathing areas were

Dear Kzb, It was our pleasure to welcome you at our Palm Tree Health Spa. Thank you for choosing us and for taking the time to write these kind words! We are delighted to hear that you had such a splendid time. We will make sure to pass on your compliments on the compress massage to our staff, as this is one of the more complicated treatments and it is rewarding to see that our training is paying out. How good to hear that it was not only relaxing but also therapeutic for you! For your information, our pool has a temperature of 32°c and we will soon start to heat it, as the mornings can already be really fresh in this season. Again, thank you for your review, we are so glad you enjoyed your time here. We look forward to welcoming you back soon, kind regards, Mr. Lar Phonchaleun Palm Tree Health Spa Manager
